1263rd -- Ready To Fly

I am a firm believer that every person that is alive on this earth no matter how young or old they may be are meant to make a significant impact upon this world that is meant to make it better than it is right now. The difference however between the person who makes a difference and the one who doesn't all depends on their belief system. Their belief system will either dictate that they can or that they can't. The one who says I can will dare to take a hold of the dreams and desires that are within their hearts. The one who believes that he can't may have fallen or stumbled one too many times and now they doubt their significance. What we must realize and remind ourselves is that falling down does not mean that we have failed, but standing in that same position of failure will hinder any successes that were meant for your life. (Romans 12:4-8)

That is why I love the Lord. He is able to take our failings and turn them around for our benefit. We can learn the lessons, we can become wiser because of them and we can use what we learned in our failing stages to rise up higher than we had ever risen before. We just have to have faith and trust God's Word where He says “...All things will work together for good to them that love God...” Be encouraged to believe that your life is meant to make a significant impact. Don't stand in your failure thinking that you have nothing left to offer, but believe God and try again. Try again even if you have failed more times than you care to count and keep on trying until you overcome and stand atop that area of victory that had eluded you before. (Romans 8:28) (1 Peter 1:7-9)

No matter how discouraged you may feel, I want you to know that you can overcome. You can become better, you can do more and your life can be used in ways that you never thought or imagined before. You simply must believe in yourself again. You must do as the Bible says and “Put off the old man and put on the new man.” That simply means to let go of all the wrong thinking and start believing in a renewed and refreshed manner trusting that you are well able to make your life and this world much better than it is right now. I encourage you again to take this message to heart and strive to better your life. When you do, you will see the Lord work through you and use you in extraordinary ways. (Colossians 3:10) (Psalm 16:8-11)

I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to stand up again and reach forward towards your success and don't give up until you reach it.

READY TO FLY

Something new showed up on my Dad’s front porch this Spring: a nest. A robin decided that the top of a corner post just under the metal roof would be the perfect place to put her new home. Slowly she started to build it stick by stick. My Dad noticed what she was doing and tossed her work back off the porch, hoping that she would take the hint and choose a nearby tree instead. The robin was determined, however, and kept returning to rebuild her nest again and again. Finally, my Dad gave in and let her finish her work. When it was done the robin laid her eggs and settled into her warm, dry, safe home.

A few weeks later three tiny heads suddenly emerged over the corner of the nest. I had never seen baby birds so close up before. Each one looked like a tiny vulture dressed in a fluffy, wool sweater. I watched in wonder as the little heads tilted back and the ugly beaks stretched wide to receive the food that was dropped into them. I knew too that their mom would continue her work every day, lovingly feeding her babies until they were grown, beautiful, and ready to fly.

Watching those baby birds made me think too about how so many of us huddle in our own nests day after day waiting for the time when we will be ready to fly. So many of us look over the edge terrified to make that first leap to live and to love. So many of us spend our hours dreaming of soaring in the clouds while we sit scared on a pile of sticks.

We aren’t meant to hide in our nests, though. God created us to fly. God created us to soar into the sky on the wings of love and joy. God created us to go higher and higher with every good thought we think and kind act we do. We just have to make that first leap. Don’t let the birds have all the fun then. You are ready. Live well, fly high, and help a few others out of their nests along the way. Keep your spirit in the heavens even while your feet are here on Earth.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

James 1:22-25 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”

Psalm 37:7-9 “Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.”

Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”

Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”

Psalm 28:6-8 “Blessed be the LORD, because He hath heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him. The LORD is their strength, and He is the saving strength of His anointed.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
