1323rd -- You Were Meant For The Skies

This world is filled with can-do people, but because of their life's trials and tribulations, mistakes and shortfalls many of those well able people don't believe in themselves anymore. They feel like life has passed them by and that their lot in life is to just merely exist. From God's point of view that is the farthest thing from the truth. The Lord wishes for us to stand up after every fall and try again no matter how many times we have failed. God's vision for our life is bigger than ours can ever be, but if we allow discouragement and stagnation to take root in our hearts, then nothing can ever be accomplished with our precious life. That is why we must see past any negatives, we must believe that our life is significant and then do our absolute best to fulfill our life's destiny no matter how hard the enemy may be trying to stop us. (Jeremiah 31:3) (Psalm 103:1-5)

I believe that if God pulled back the veil in heaven and showed each person what their true potential was, they would never allow any temporary setback to discourage their hearts or make them feel like giving up. When we know without a shadow of a doubt that God has our back, we will continue on no matter what because with God all things are possible to those who believe. I encourage you to believe that greatness is within your being. Trust what God says about you, believe in God's forgiveness and strive to be all that God has created you to be. He loves you more than you'll ever fully know. God in His mercy and grace declares in Isaiah 43:25 “I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for Mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” Let us be thankful for God's mercy and be purposeful with each new day that we are blessed enough to see. (Ezekiel 36:26-27) (Romans 5:8-11)

I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to see that your life is meant to soar and make a difference that will never be forgotten or erased.

YOU WERE MEANT FOR THE SKIES

This story reminds us how important a healthy self-image really is.

A man found an eagle's egg and put it in a nest of a barnyard hen. The eagle hatched with the brood of chicks and grew up with them. All his life, the eagle did what the barnyard chicks did, thinking he was a barnyard chicken. He scratched the earth for worms and insects. He clucked and cackled. And he thrashed his wings and flew a few feet in the air.

Years passed and the eagle grew very old. One day he saw a magnificent bird above him in the cloudless sky. It glided in graceful majesty among powerful wind currents, with scarcely a beat of its strong, golden wings.

The old eagle looked up in awe. “Who's that?” he asked. “That's the eagle, the king of the birds,” said his neighbor. “He belongs to the sky. We belong to the earth – we're chickens.” So the eagle lived and died a chicken, for that is what he thought he was.

You were meant for the skies - not the chicken coop. Who will believe in you if you do not believe in yourself?

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Proverbs 8:17-21 “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.”

Proverbs 22:1-5 “A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. The rich and poor meet together: the Lord is the maker of them all. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life. Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.”

Psalm 40:1-4 “I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.”

Psalm 37:23-27 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
