147th -- Saving The Broken Pieces

With the days that we are living in now, the enemy of hell is trying his
hardest to discourage God's people from being all that God wishes for
them to be. The Lord has been speaking to my heart to encourage His saints
in this fight of faith and not to give up because of their imperfections,
but rather to stay strong in Him and continue to let God lead the way.

Jesus says in Matthew 11:28 "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy
laden, and I will give you rest." Every time we feel discouraged and feel
like giving up on this life because of the trouble that we sometimes face,
we are to come to the Lord and ask for His comfort and strength so that we
may gain encouragement to continue in our fight of faith. Remind yourself
that He is your comforter and helper and in God alone there is peace and
fulness of Joy.

I hope you'll be encouraged by this message that shows how God is always
able to use us even though we may seem imperfect and unusable in other
people's eyes.

SAVING THE BROKEN PIECES

At the Royal Palace of Tehran in Iran, you can see one of the most
beautiful mosaic works in the world. The ceilings and walls flash like
diamonds with multifaceted reflections.

Originally, when the palace was designed, the architect specified huge
sheets of mirrors on the walls. When the first shipment arrived from Paris,
they found to their horror that the mirrors were shattered. The contractor
threw them in the trash and brought the sad news to the architect.

Amazingly, the architect ordered all of the broken pieces collected, then
smashed them into tiny pieces and glued them to the walls to become a
mosaic of silvery, shimmering, mirrored bits of glass.

Broken to become beautiful! It's possible to turn your scars into stars.
It's possible to be better because of the brokenness. It is extremely rare
to find in the great museums of the world objects of antiquity that are
unbroken. Indeed, some of the most precious pieces in the world are only
fragments that remain a hallowed reminder of a glorious past.

Never underestimate God's power to repair and restore.

Encourage yourself today in the Lord and know that through God Almighty you
can be made into a masterpiece even if you do not believe it's possible.
God is in the restoration business and He is able to take the brokenness
that we sometimes feel and turn it into a glorious work of art. (Isaiah 64:8)

God holds you as the apple of His eye and has made you different from every
other person in the world. The Bible says that He knew you even while you
were in your mother's womb. God knows every facet of your life and wishes
to do great things through you, if only you submit to His will. The Lord's
prayer declares in Matthew 6:9-10 "...Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it
is in heaven." (Deuteronomy 32:10-12) (Jeremiah 1:5)

Let us surrender our own will and ask that God's will be done through our
lives. God will do great things through us once we are surrendered to
have His will fulfilled in our lives. The apostle Paul said in Galatians
2:20, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but
Christ liveth in me..." He gave up the life that he lived and surrendered
his life to Christ and trusted that God would continue to lead the way,
and God did just that. Let us have that same commitment to the Lord and
we will see God do great things through us for His glory. (1 Peter 5:6-7)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 139:14-18 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully
made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My
substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously
wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance,
yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in
continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How
precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of
them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand..."

Isaiah 64:8 "But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and
thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand."

Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith
the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will
hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search
for Me with all your heart."

Psalm 100:1-5 "Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the
LORD with gladness: come before His presence with singing. Know ye that
the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we
are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with
thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and
bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting; and His
truth endureth to all generations."

All scriptures can be found in the King James Version.
