724th -- Little Candle

The goodness of the Lord is extended from generation to generation. He
does not deal with us as we deserve, but has given us His mercy and love
and wishes for us to walk uprightly. The Bible says the Lord is righteous
in all His ways and Holy in all His works. Everything the Lord has created
has a purpose and plan that is meant to be fulfilled. We must remember and
keep in mind that our life has a purpose that is meant to be brought to
fruition. Never doubt your existence or question why you are alive in this
time in history. Your life is proof positive that God has great plans that
only you have been equipped with to bring them to pass. Never allow the
enemy to discourage your heart or make you think that you are not able.
God justifies you and has given you all that you need. The Bible declares
in Romans 8:34 “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea
rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also
maketh intercession for us.” Encourage yourself to stand in your authority
knowing that your life is not insignificant, but rather it is great and
meant for a mighty purpose. (Psalm 103:10-14) (Psalm 145:17) (Jeremiah 29:11)

I hope this message encourages your heart to never doubt your purpose or
your abilities.

LITTLE CANDLE

Once upon a time a little candle stood in a room filled with other candles,
most of them much larger and much more beautiful than she was. Some were
ornate and some were rather simple, like herself. Some were white, some
were blue, some were pink, some were green. She had no idea why she was
there, and the other candles made her feel rather small and insignificant.

When the sun went down and the room began to get dark, she noticed a large
man walking toward her with a ball of fire on a stick. She suddenly
realized that the man was going to set her on fire. “No, no!” she cried,
“Don't burn me, please!” But she knew that she could not be heard and
prepared for the pain that would surely follow.

To her surprise, the room filled with light. She wondered where it came
from since the man had extinguished his fire stick. To her delight, she
realized that the light came from herself.

Then the man struck another fire stick and, one by one, lit the other
candles in the room. Each one gave out the same light that she did.

During the next few hours, she noticed that, slowly, her wax began to flow.
She became aware that she would soon die. With this realization came a
sense of why she had been created. “Perhaps my purpose on earth is to give
out light until I die,” she mused. And that's exactly what she did.

God created you and I to produce light in a dark world. Like that little
candle, we all can produce the same amount of light, no matter how small we
are or what color we might be. But we can't produce light until we receive
it from an outside source. That source is Jesus Christ, the light of the world.

Addendum -- Matthew 5:16
“'In the same way, let your light shine before
men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven'.”

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Romans 8:31-32 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us,
who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him
up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?”

Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but
this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching
forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the
prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 145:14-19 “The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those
that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon Thee; and Thou givest them
their meat in due season. Thou openest Thine hand, and satisfiest the
desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and
Holy in all His works. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him,
to all that call upon Him in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that
fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them.”

Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed
on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for
in the Lord Jehovah is Everlasting Strength.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
