80th -- Message On God's Will

I thank the Lord for this great ministry and the many blessings that are
coming forth from it. Only God can do such great things in such a short
amount of time and that is why I constantly keep in mind that this is His
work and not my own. To God belongs all the glory and majesty forever.

I have heard from many members who seem to be asking the same question,
which is "How can I get closer to the Lord and know what His will is for
my life?" I have prayed about this question and felt the Lord leading me
to write a message concerning this subject.

In Jeremiah 29:12-13 the Lord says "Then shall ye call upon me, and ye
shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek
me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Always
remember that God is a loving God and He does hear when we call unto Him
in prayer, but to have a deep intimate relationship with the Lord will
take some work on our end. The Bible says God will hearken or give
attention to our prayers, but for the anointed presence of God to be real
in our lives we need to search and seek for Him with all of our heart.

How can you and I seek and search for God?

It is not easy to get close to the Lord because He is looking for complete
and total submission, dedication and unmovable faith. For example, imagine
the life and dedication of a bodybuilder. They spend hours a day working
out and eating the right foods so the muscle will have the right amount of
nutrients to grow and mature. It takes years to get their body to the
optimum level where it reaches the professional sector of bodybuilding,
yet when we think about the Lord's will for our life or to have the
anointing of the Holy Spirit we expect the answer to come the second we
finish praying. Just as the bodybuilder has to make time and sacrifice
certain things to reach their goal, so it is with those who are seeking
the Lord's presence in their life. It does not come easy, but believe me
your labor will be well worth it.

For us to be able to get closer to the Lord and seek the will of God, we
need to have that bodybuilder mentality. We are to stand strong and
dedicate our time unto the Lord. Spending time in God's Word, fasting and
being alone with the Lord will strengthen your spirit and get you more in
tune with the Lord's will for your life.

Never think that you are not loved by God or unworthy to seek the Lord in
prayer. He loves you just the way you are and wishes nothing more than to
come into your life and lead you to the highest places where He knows you
will flourish and be successful. (Revelation 3:20) (Psalm 8:3-5)

If you are seeking the Lord's will for your life or just want to get
closer to the Lord; I encourage you to keep these things in mind:

1. Set a special time each day for your prayer time. Turn off the TV,
radio, computer or whatever else that steals your time and talk to the
Lord in prayer. The Bible declares the closer you come to the Lord, the
closer He will come to you, so never think your prayers are not heard.
(James 4:8)

2. Make a scheduled time to read the Bible. Be faithful and don't let
distractions get in your way. Keep God's Word close to your heart and you
will see powerful changes take place. (Joshua 1:8)

3. Be careful of the things that enter your eye gate, ear gate and what
comes out of your mouth. The Bible declares you will reap whatsoever it
is that you sow. If bad things come in, then bad things will come out.
If bad things come forth from you then bad things will return to you.
(Galatians 6:7)

God's laws are simple; He said in Deuteronomy 30:19 "I have set before you
life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both
thou and thy seed may live." God gives us the choice, the rest is up to us.

My prayer is that people from around the world will hearken unto the voice
of the Lord and recognize that no matter what background, color, or sin
there is in their life that God is able to forgive, redeem and set free by
the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that was shed for All mankind.
(Romans 10:11-13)

God bless you and I hope you are encouraged by this message to spend time
with the Creator of heaven and earth because He is willing to spend time
with you right where you are.
