97th -- He Doesn't Remember

There are many people that have a problem with forgiving themselves from
their past mistakes and short falls, but the good thing about God is that
once we come to Him in repentance, God forgives and wipes our slate clean.
The trick of the enemy is bringing condemnation to God's people, but we
must renew our mind and know that if God forgave us, then we should forgive
ourselves and move on to the heights that God has laid up for each of us
to reach.

This is a suiting story on the Lord's forgiveness and thought it would be
good for you to read and meditate on. I hope this story will speak to
your heart if you are having problems forgiving yourself of some past sin
or short fall.

HE DOESN'T REMEMBER

A much loved-minister of God once carried a secret burden of long-past sin
deep in his heart. He had committed the sin many years before, during his
Bible school training. No one knew what he had done, but they did know he
had repented. Even so, he had suffered years of remorse over the incident
without any sense of God's forgiveness.

A woman in his church deeply loved God and claimed to have visions in
which Jesus Christ spoke to her. The minister, skeptical of her claims,
asked her, "The next time you speak to the Lord, would you please ask Him
what sin your minister committed while he was in Bible school." The woman
kindly agreed.

When she came to the church a few days later the minister asked, "Did He
visit you?" She said, "Yes."

"And did you ask Him what sin I committed?"

"Yes, I asked Him," she replied

"Well, what did He say?"

"He said, 'I don't remember.'"

Maybe you are having a problem with forgiving yourself of some past mistake
or sin. I want you to know that once you confess it to God and ask His
forgiveness; God has forgiven you and will not remember nor remind you of
your sins. He is forgiving even to the worst sinner and once you come to
Him in repentance, God will in no way cast you out, but will welcome you
in with open arms. (Isaiah 43:25) (John 6:37-40)

The forgiveness we received in Christ is complete. As far as God is
concerned, our sin is over with and forgotten. We must learn to rest in
His forgiveness and release the guilt and shame of our past sin, so that
we may walk in God's rest and peace.

I encourage you to not dwell on the past, but look to the future with a
new outlook and believe God for great things. If He has power to forgive
you and make you a new creation in Christ, then God also has the power to
give you big dreams and aspirations and the wisdom to achieve them all.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 51:8-12 "Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou
hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine
iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit
within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy
spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me
with thy free spirit."

Psalm 32:5 "I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not
hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou
forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah."

Micah 7:18-19 "Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and
passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth
not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn
again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and
thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea."

Psalm 139:17-18 "How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how
great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number
than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee."

All scriptures can be found in the King James Version.

To God be all the glory, honor and praise, for if it was not the leading
and anointing of the Holy Spirit, I could not do all the things God has
called me to do. I thank God for the timing of these messages as He always
gets the right message out at the right time. Praise the Lord for He alone
deserves to be praised for all He has done for us.
