We should always have a lighthearted attitude and not allow ourselves to
take life so seriously. Many times we allow the temporary trials and
setbacks of life to ruin our days and make us lose our joy and peace.
What we must remember and keep in mind is that it is in our hands how we
react to a situation. We can either act in faith or we can act in fear.
We can have a demeanor of peace or a demeanor of worry. It is all in how
we react to a situation that will ultimately affect its outcome. When we
act in a manner of peace and trust that God is in control, that is when all
things will work together for our good because we trust God and are called
according to His purposes.
Whenever you feel tempted to lose your peace, remind yourself of the
greatness of God. Think of the many times that He intervened in times past
and delivered you from a tough situation. Remember your many blessings
that God has graciously given to you and know that it is God who wishes
for you to be at peace and rest in Him. The Lord Jesus Christ conquered
death and hell on our behalf so that we can rest in His finished work.
There is no need for us to worry about anything. The Lord is in control
of all things even our very breath. He is omniscient, omnipotent and
omnipresent. The Lord knows all things at all times in all places. There
is nothing that can surprise God and there is no problem that God can't
help us to overcome.
Always remember that God is our protector, our comforter, our guide, our
inspiration, our leader and our King. Let us have a countenance of peace
no matter what comes our way and bring into remembrance the greatness of
our God. He is all things and in Him lies every answer to our every
desire. Trust Him, depend on Him and let God know that your eyes of faith
are focused on the Great I AM no matter what comes your way.
I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to see that it is
within your ability to live life to its fullest potential. It is in your
hands how you react to life. I hope you react in faith and never and fear.
NOT AS OLD AS I USED TO BE
The grocery store is a great place to get food for your body, but I have
found out recently that it can be an even better place to find food for
your heart, soul, and mind. This happened the other day as I was walking
through the local store to get some oatmeal. Two elderly ladies were
standing by the fruit section catching up on old times. The first one
jokingly asked her older friend how old she was now. The older lady
answered loudly and to everyone’s delight: “Honey, I’m not nearly as old
as I used to be.” Everyone within ear shot laughed when they heard this
including me. I realized too as I was walking out of the grocery store
that I am not nearly as old as I used to be either.
I am not nearly as old as I used to be when I constantly worried about my
bills and how I was going to pay them. Now I just trust in God and I
always seem to have more than enough. I am not nearly as old as I used to
be when I fretted about my weight and my thinning and graying hair. Now I
just look in the mirror and smile. The body may look a little older, but
the soul on the inside is younger than ever. I am not nearly as old as I
used to be when I was always judging others, being angry with them, or
worrying about what they thought of me. Now I just do my best to judge no
one, love everyone, and share my joy with the world. Life I have found is
too short to live any other way.
You don’t have to be as old as you used to be either. God made all of us
both ageless and forever young. By choosing love, joy, and oneness with
God you can always keep growing younger and younger on the inside. By
sharing that love and joy you can give your youth, energy, and vitality to
the world. By living from your soul you can stop counting your birthdays,
start living for eternity, and always know that you will never again be as
old as you used to be.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Matthew 28:18-20 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is
given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of
the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have
commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the
world. Amen.”
Philippians 2:13-15 “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to
do of His good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in
the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights
in the world.”
Colossians 3:16-17 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all
wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And
whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.”
Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but
be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is
that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
