101st -- Acorn And The Pumpkin

We do not always know or understand why certain things happen, but we need
to trust in the Lord and have faith that God is in control and sees the end
result of the path that we're still traveling on. It is very easy to get
frustrated in life and have the urge to give up when things seem to be
going so bad, but don't ever give the enemy the satisfaction of quitting.
God does not bring the problems, but He will use them to teach us and make
us stronger than we were before.

The Lord has all wisdom and understanding and knows exactly how much we can
handle, so keep that in mind the next time you feel overwhelmed with life's
challenges.

This is a great short story that encouraged me in knowing that God is much
wiser than I will ever be and He knows exactly how things should be
handled. I hope you'll be encouraged as well and remember that God is the
creator of all things and knows exactly how to handle every situation.

ACORN AND THE PUMPKIN

There is an old poem that tells the story of a woman who was walking
through a meadow. As she strolled along meditating on nature, she came upon
a field of golden pumpkins. In the corner of the field stood a majestic
oak tree.

The woman, weary, sat down under the oak and began to muse about the
strange twists in nature. Tiny acorns hung on huge branches and huge
pumpkins sat on tiny vines. She thought, "God blundered with creation! He
should have put the small acorns on the tiny vines and the large pumpkins
on the huge branches."

Resting beneath the tree, she drifted off to sleep. She was awakened by a
tiny acorn bouncing off her nose. Chuckling to herself, she amended her
previous thought, "Just goes to show that God knew best all along!"

Be encouraged my friend and rest in the wisdom of God. The Bible says that
God declares the end from the beginning. He knows exactly what to do, how
to do it and when it should be done, so never think He has forgotten you or
will not deliver you from your troubles. Keep trusting in the Lord and
know that God is wiser than we are and will deliver us from every plan and
device of the enemy. (Isaiah 46:10) (Psalm 50:15)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 92:4-6 "For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will
triumph in the works of thy hands. O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy
thoughts are very deep. A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool
understand this."

Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways
my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so
are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

Psalm 8:3-6 "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon
and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful
of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him
a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put
all things under his feet."

All scriptures can be found in the King James Version.
