We should always trust that God has our best interest in mind at all times.
No matter the trials, tribulations and setbacks of life, we should remain
confident that our life is secure in the Hands of the Lord. When we have
an unwavering trust that God is with us, then nothing will be able to make
us lose our peace or make us question God's plan for our life. Many times
things happen that we don't understand and we think that God has forgotten
us or even worse forsaken us, but what we fail to see in those instances
is that He is working things for our good in the end. The road that we're
traveling on is long and we can't see the end result of it, but God can.
He sees every pitfall, every detour, every crack in the road and in His
infinite wisdom, He works out all of those temporary setbacks for our
ultimate benefit.
Every setback and every crack in the road that we think is too difficult
to endure is serving a purpose. It is teaching us a lesson, it is
strengthening our resolve, it is giving us wisdom, knowledge, patience and
understanding that a straight and trouble-free road could never give us.
Let us see every trial as a blessing. Let us see every detour as an
opportunity to learn something new. Many have said that the Lord works in
mysterious ways and He does. He saves us at just the right moment. He is
never too early and He has yet to be late. In those instances that we
think everything worked out perfectly and we give credit to coincidence,
that is just God showing up right on time giving us our hearts desire.
Be encouraged to thank the Lord for the many coincidences in your life.
Thank Him for being there for you when you didn't realize it. Thank Him
for answering your prayers in His own perfect way not giving us what we
want, but more importantly giving us what we need. The Lord is good. His
ways are perfect. He loves us to no end and the sooner we realize these
truths, the quicker we will be in calling upon Him all the days of our life.
I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to see that God
works all things for our good. The Lord is there for us at all times. He
will never leave us nor forsake us.
COINCIDENCE
When I was a boy I was always amazed by what a heavy sleeper my Grandma
was. I knew this mainly because her bedroom was right next to the one my
brother and I shared. When I would wake up in the morning I would hear her
steady snoring echoing through the thin walls. She rarely if ever got up
during the night and when she napped in her chair the television and
record player never woke her up.
It seemed a strange coincidence then that during the middle of one night
she would suddenly awake the moment that frayed wiring in her room caught
fire. Her screams awoke my brother who then rushed through the house
waking up the rest of the family. The house was made of old, dry timbers
and the fire raced through it in a matter of minutes. Smoke filled every
room. None of us could see anything. We were all filled with fear and
confusion. Still, thanks to my Grandma waking up at just that moment we
all made it out safely. My Mom even found our small dog cowering at her
feet and picked him up just as we ran out the front door.
Doris Lessing once said that “Coincidences are God’s way of remaining
anonymous.” I fully believe that to be true. Without the coincidence of my
Grandma waking up at just the right second that fire would have cost us
our lives as well as our home. Without that coincidence my Grandma, Mom,
and Dad would never have touched the lives they did over the years that
followed. Without it my brother would never have become a teacher and I
would never have written a word. Without it my brothers and I would never
have raised seven wonderful children. Without it all the love, learning,
and joy my family has shared with others would have been lost.
The next time a coincidence blesses your life then embrace it for the gift
from God that it is. We are all watched over with so much love. May we
make our lives a gift of love as well.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great
and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
Isaiah 30:21 “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is
the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn
to the left.”
Jeremiah 31:3 “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have
loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I
drawn thee.”
Psalm 138:6-8 “Though the LORD be high, yet hath He respect unto the lowly:
but the proud He knoweth afar off. Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth Thine hand against the wrath
of mine enemies, and Thy right hand shall save me. The LORD will perfect
that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake
not the works of Thine own hands.”
All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
