106th -- Message On Fear of The Lord

I hope you are doing well and in the best of health. There are many people
in this world that have a problem with sin. They may be good people but
cannot resist the temptation and I believe this message that God has laid
on my heart will help if you are having trouble in this area of your life.
I pray this message will be a blessing to you and as always to God belongs
all the Glory for His leading and anointing upon this work that He has
called us to do.

While I was in prayer recently the Lord laid a scripture on my heart and
it speaks volumes to those who are sick of living a sinful life and want
to turn from their old ways and live according to the Word of God. The
Bible declares in Psalm 119:11 "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I
might not sin against thee." When we allow temptation to come into our
life and follow through with whatever the temptation may be and sin, we
are not only sinning against our body and spirit but we are also sinning
against God. We need to remember that in our own strength we cannot
overcome sin and the enemy, but when we give heed to the Lord and recognize
in and through God Almighty nothing shall be able to overtake us and keep
us in the bondage of sin. (Zechariah 4:6) (John 8:36)

The Bible says that people perish for their lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6),
so if they continue in their sin without renewing their mind with the Word
of God, then sooner or later those people will die in their sin. I want
you to know the truth and not be deceived by the devil to make you think
that sin will go unpunished, for the Bible declares in Galatians 6:7-8 "Do
not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will
also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption,
but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life."

If we want to be victorious over sin and temptation, then we need to
crucify our flesh daily, meaning to bring our sinful impulses that come
from our physical being into subjection and renewing our mind with the
Word, recalling those scriptures that deal with temptation and triumph over
sin and the enemy. If we stay determined in bringing into our control
every temptation and casting it down in the name of Jesus Christ, then the
enemy will leave you alone for he will know that we have seen through his
devilish lies. (Galatians 5:16-18) (2 Corinthians 10:5)

I don't think there is a person alive that has not been tempted by the
enemy, but the difference between the one who follows through with the
temptation and the one who doesn't, is the fear of the Lord. I don't mean
the kind of fear where God will strike you down for sinning, but the fear
I am referring to, is the fear of having God disappointed in us for not
being strong in His Word to resist. The Bible declares in Job 28:28
"Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is
understanding." We can only have this wisdom and understanding by reading
and meditating on God's Word and spending time in prayer asking God to
guide our steps and keep us from all evil. (Joshua 1:8) (Matthew 6:9-13)

This is a good news message and I thank the Lord that even though we fall
short and sin, He is more than willing to forgive and receive us unto
Himself again washing us from all unrighteousness, once we come to Him
and ask forgiveness. I want you to be encouraged and never think you are
so bad that God doesn't love you. There is nothing that can separate us
from God's love, so don't let people or the devil make you think that you
are beyond redemption. (1 John 1:9) (Romans 8:38-39)

Let Jesus be your guide and helper and every time satan tries to lure you
into sin, you stand strong in your faith being determined not to allow the
devil to bring any temptation into your life and you will see the Lord
deliver you because of your willingness to resist. (James 4:7-8)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

John 10:10-11 Jesus says "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to
kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they
might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd
giveth his life for the sheep."

James 1:13-17 "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for
God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every
man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then
when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is
finished, bringeth forth death. Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the
Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of
turning."

Romans 6:20-23 "For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from
righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now
ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free
from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness,
and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift
of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

1 Corinthians 10:11-13 "Now all these things happened to them as examples,
and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages
have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is
faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able,
but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be
able to bear it."

All scriptures can be found in the King James Version.

Here is a quote I once read; Christians are not sinless, but they do sin less.
