One thing we should always remember and keep in mind is that God loves
us. No matter our shortfalls, no matter our stumbles and no matter how
many times we fail to meet God's standards, His Love for us will never
diminish. The Lord wishes for us to come out of our sin filled past and
rest in His forgiveness. We can all be forgiven of our past. There isn't
a person alive that is beyond redemption. The Bible declares in Psalm
103:10-13 “He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us
according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth,
so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is
from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Like as
a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him.”
If you are far away from the Lord and wish to be reconciled with Him then
today is the best day to begin your journey with the Lord.
The goodness of God is something that we could never fully comprehend
because in life equal exchanges are the accepted norm. For example, if
you'd like to buy food, you will have to exchange money with a vendor
equivalent to the amount of food that you would like. If you'd like to
buy a car, you will have to exchange money equivalent to the car that
you'd like to have. An exchange has to be made to receive goods and
services in this world. That is not how God works with us. The exchanges
that we receive with God are much more beneficial to us than they are to
Him. For our sins and iniquities, He gives us forgiveness and a clean
slate. For our darkness and impurities, He gives us His light and life.
For the hell we all rightly deserve, He offers us redemption, salvation and
a home with Him in Heaven. The exchanges we receive with God are not fair
to Him, but still are made available because His Love is so great for us.
The Bible declares in Romans 5:8-9 “...God commendeth His love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then,
being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through
Him.” Every sinner deserves righteous judgment for their sins, but
because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross, God sees us justified through
His blood that was shed for all mankind. The blood of Christ cleanses us
of our unrighteousness and because of the Lord Jesus's sacrifice, we can
now be reconciled back to God. The Lord sees us as sons and daughters not
because of what we have done, but because of what the Lord Jesus Christ
has done for us.
See that it is to your every benefit to call upon the Lord and make Him
your God and Savior. The exchanges that we receive from God aren't fair
to Him, but thankfully still exist to all who call upon His Name in truth,
in humility and in wholeheartedness. Be encouraged to call upon the Lord
and know that He loves you with an everlasting love that never wanes,
never falters and truly never fails.
I hope this message inspires and encourages your heart to see that God's
love for us is perfect and never ending.
GOD LOVES YOU
When I was a boy I never liked going to church that much. I enjoyed the
Sunday potluck dinners we sometimes had after it. They were a feast of
country cooking. I enjoyed the Sunday school classes too. I got to see my
friends there. It was the church services themselves that I couldn’t
relate too. They were full of symbolism and rituals that my young mind
couldn’t yet understand. The sermons and Bible readings were largely tuned
out by me too. It was struggle enough just keeping my little body still in
the hard, wooden pews. I longed to be outside playing in the sunshine. I
would look around at the people dressed in their Sunday best while I tugged
at my own tie. Then I’d glance at my watch and wonder when it would end.
It was during one of those sermons, however, that I did hear something
that would stick in my heart, soul, and mind from that day forward. It was
the middle of Summer and the heat made me feel even more restless than
usual. I was looking down at my dress shoes and dangling my feet from the
pew while the sermon went on and on. Suddenly, the Priest’s voice rose and
got very loud as he finished. “Remember this!,” he said as I raised my
head. “If you don’t remember anything else I have said. Remember this. You
are loved! You are loved unconditionally by a greater love than you can
ever imagine! God loves you, now and forever!”
Those words of wisdom found a place deep inside of me. I did find myself
remembering them over and over again in my life. As I learned, grew,
struggled, and stumbled those words stayed in my heart. They helped me to
rise up and try again every time I fell. They helped me to find my own
love for God, for myself, and for others. They became a central part of
who I am and what I write. The one gift I hope to give all of you is this
truth. May you always remember then that “You are loved!” May you always
know that “God loves you, now and forever!”

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men
count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
Romans 10:9-11 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture
saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.”
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith
the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will
hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search
for Me with all your heart.”
Psalm 107:6-9 “Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He
delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right
way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise
the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of
men! For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with
goodness.”
