We should always keep the song in our hearts strong, nurtured and vibrant.
The song in our hearts speaks to our countenance, our demeanor and our joy
for life. We should continually, consciously and purposefully have a good
song, a pleasant song and a praise filled song repeatedly playing in our
hearts. When we have the right outlook on life, we are playing the right
song. When we see the good that is in our life, we are playing the right
song. When we appreciate and show our thankfulness for every gift and
blessing that God has graciously bestowed upon us, we are playing the
right song. When we are at peace and our hearts give praise to the Lord
for His love, mercy and grace, we are playing the right song. When we
play the right song in our hearts everyone around us will take notice. It
will be evident outwardly what is happening inwardly and that is a true
testament of how every Christian should carry themselves.
We who know the goodness of God should be quick to make it evident to all
those who cross our path. We as ambassadors for Christ should have our
song singing so loudly that all who come near us will hear it and will
want to know what song it is that is playing so beautifully. The Bible
declares in Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in
all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing with Grace in your hearts to the Lord.” It is
biblical to sing songs of praise in our hearts. The Lord takes pleasure
in seeing us filled with Joy and knowing that our hearts are perfect
towards Him. Loving the Lord and keeping Him at the center of our lives
makes singing songs of Praise easy because we are living in His goodness.
I pray that you will continually have a song of praise playing in your
heart to the Lord. His goodness, His mercy, His love, His forgiveness,
His redemption, His sacrifice and His grace are the reasons that we can
rest in Him and Joyfully sing songs of praise to the Lord. He deserves
every bit of the little that we have to offer.
I hope this message inspires and encourages your heart to see the goodness
of God in a new light and allow yourself to be the instrument in which
songs of praise can be sung unto the Lord.
STILL WE SING
I love that first day of birdsong we get here in the mountains each year.
It usually happens in the first week of March, but it came early and
caught me by surprise this year. I had just woken up and was walking my
dogs in the warm morning air. Suddenly the sun rose over the hilltops, the
world grew golden, and the birds started to sing. At least 12 different
bird songs poured out from the treetops. Each one had its own melody, its
own beauty, and its own joy. As they blended together the whole world
seemed full of love, full of wonder, and full of light. It was a glorious
Symphony that Beethoven or Mozart themselves would have been proud of. It
sang praises to the goodness of life and the greatness of God. I was so
delighted to be able to hear it once again. I knew too that it would
continue for several weeks to come as the birds built nests, found mates,
sung of love, and started the cycle of life all over again.
As fantastic as it was hearing the birds singing in the morning, though, I
find it even more wonderful when I hear human voices singing. That is
because we will always have one advantage over the birds: we don’t have to
wait for Spring to sing. We can sing when it is cold and dark. We can sing
Christmas Carols when our lives are in the midst of Winter. We can sing
songs of light when the sun is still hidden by the clouds. We can sing of
joy even when our hearts are hurting. We can sing of love even when we
feel unloved. We can sing praises to God in Heaven and then use our song
to bring Heaven to Earth as well.
The birds may welcome the Springtime with their songs, but we can create
Springtime with ours. God gave each of us a special song to sing with our
lives. It is up to us, however, to sing it. Don’t keep your own voice
quiet. Join in the Symphony and bring music, light, love, and joy to the
world. We are all Children of God and be it light or dark still we sing.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Psalm 35:27-28 “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my
righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified,
which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. And my tongue shall
speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.”
Hebrews 13:5-6 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be
content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave
thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper,
and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
John 14:27 Jesus declares “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto
you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be
troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be
not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee
whithersoever thou goest.”
Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I
deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My name. He
shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and
shew him My salvation.”
