We should always have a dream or goal that is evident in our hearts. We
should always believe that our life can achieve greatness no matter what
we have gone through in the past. We must believe that a new beginning is
possible and that our life can be used to make a difference in this
world. Many times we fail to believe in ourselves because of some past
setback or shortfall and we believe the lie that our life has very little
chance of achieving greatness or making a difference in this world. In
these moments of discouragement, we must remind ourselves that no matter
what has happened in times past, forgiveness is available and a new
beginning is waiting to be taken a hold of. What we must always keep in
mind is that God's mercy and grace reaches from everlasting to everlasting.
He is ready, willing and able to wipe our slate clean and give us a new
beginning.
My best encouragement to anyone is that they should always believe that
with God a second chance is always available. You may have fallen short,
you may have felt like giving up and giving in and the enemy may have
whispered in your ear that you are no good, but I want you to know that
the Lord loves you and wishes to see you blessed, joyful and lifted up.
The Lord calls you His precious child. You may be condemning yourself,
but I want you to know that God does not condemn you. He forgives,
cleanses and makes clean every person who calls upon Him in faith. The
Lord is ready to revive every dream that was once so evident in our hearts
and when we simply believe in ourselves again, nothing will be impossible
to us. We must remember that having the right mindset will determine our
outcome. If we continually doubt and question our future then we have
already lost the battle, but if we believe God's Word and trust that He
has our best interest in mind, then nothing will be impossible to us.
Be encouraged and believe for yourself that greatness lies within you.
You may have fallen short, you may have stumbled, you may have taken a
detour in life, but the end result of your life can be great. Allow your
dreams to come to the forefront again. Think on them, meditate on them,
have a clear picture of what you would like to accomplish and become
steadfastly determined to achieve every goal, dream and desire that is in
your heart. Don't allow the setbacks to make you lose focus of your end
result, but rather dig your heels in and be determined that nothing will
be able to distract you, discourage you or make you lose focus of the
goals ahead of you. When you say determined, nothing will be able to keep
you from fulfilling your destiny.
I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to believe again
that greatness lies within you and that every dream that is your heart can
be realized.
WHAT ARE YOU DREAMING ABOUT?
The agricultural school dean was interviewing a freshman. “Why have you
chosen this career?” he asked.
“I dream of making a million dollars in farming, like my father,” replied
the freshman.
The dean was impressed. “Your father made a million dollars in farming?”
“No,” the student said. “But he always dreamed of it.”
All right. That was corny. But at least this student has a dream, even if
it is only a dream about money.
I prefer the story of a man who was discussing with his wife a trip he
wanted to take to Alaska. He told her he'd always dreamed of such an
adventure. He wanted to travel deep into the wilderness. He wanted to
rough it. He talked about how exciting it would be to stay in a log cabin
without electricity, to hunt caribou and drive a dog team instead of a car.
“If we decided to live there permanently, away from civilization, what
would you miss the most?” he asked his partner.
She replied, “You.”
His dream; not hers. A better dream might include her.
This is a time of year we often examine our dreams and goals. I've found a
couple of questions helpful when I consider which dreams to chase and
which to leave alone.
First, does my dream have deep meaning? Or put another way, is it
significant and important enough to commit my time and energy toward? What
will it ultimately mean if I accomplish this thing I think I want?
Probably the pursuit of prosperity alone will not bring the kind of
meaning you desire at a deeper level.
The second question is similar. Does my dream spring from the best that is
within me? Does it come from a place of love or altruism? Will my life and
the lives of those I love be better for it? My best dreams include those I love.
What are you dreaming about?

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless
His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who
redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness
and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy
youth is renewed like the eagle's.”
Psalm 118:5-9 “I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me,
and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what
can man do unto me? The LORD taketh my part with them that help me:
therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. It is better to
trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in
the LORD than to put confidence in princes.”
Psalm 40:1-4 “I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined unto me,
and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the
miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And He
hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see
it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh
the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside
to lies.”
Ezekiel 36:26-27 “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will
I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh,
and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My spirit within
you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments,
and do them.”
Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed
on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for
in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”
