No matter what happens to us in life we have a choice. Whether we are
facing up or downs, whether we are at the top of the mountain or at the
bottom of the valley, it is within our power on how we react to that
situation. We have the ability to bless and thank God for the Favor,
Grace and Mercy that He has bestowed upon us to allow us to stand on the
mountaintop, but we can also give God thanks that He has given us the
strength, the grace and the sustenance to endure while we are in the
valley. In life we must always remember and keep in mind that we won't
always be on top of the mountain and we won't always be at the bottom of
the valley, but when those times do come our way we can remain humble and
faithful knowing that God is in control and He is the one deserving of all
the Glory, Honor and Praise. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) (Psalm 34:1-9)
When we get it deep in our minds that we will overcome no matter the
challenge, no matter the obstacle and no matter the setback, we will face
those difficult times with eager anticipation of the end results which are
promised to be our victory. When we stand up with God and say “Yes the
victory will be mine”, we are in essence locking up our victory because
our faith is assured and our God is unfailing. Be encouraged to have an
unwavering and steadfast faith that God is with you and that all things
will work together for your good. Don't get discouraged in the difficult
times, don't think of giving up and don't confess defeat. Let your
confession be steadfastly faithful. Talk about the goodness of God,
remember the many times that He intervened in times past and no matter how
tempted you may be to murmur and complain, confess only God's faithfulness.
Your confession will lead to your victory. (Romans 8:28)
Remember your past victories and know that they will come again. I
encourage you again to stay in peace and rest in the Eternal promise that
He will never leave you nor forsake you. God is more faithful to us than
we can never be to Him so remain confident, remain steadfast and remain
faithful no matter what may come your way. (Hebrews 13:5-6)
I hope this message encourages and inspires you to stay faithful at all
times no matter if you are presently on the mountaintop or in the valley.
LIFE'S TUG OF WAR
Life can seem ungrateful and not always kind
Life can pull at your heartstrings and play with your mind
Life can be blissful and happy and free
Life can put beauty in the things that you see
Life can place challenges right at your feet
Life can make good of the hardships that we meet
Life can overwhelm you and make your head spin
Life can reward those determined to win
Life can be hurtful and not always fair
Life can surround you with people who care
Life clearly does offer its ups and its downs
Life’s days can bring you both smiles and frowns
Life teaches us to take the good with the bad
Life is a mixture of happy and sad
So...
Take the life that you have and give it your best
Think positive, be happy let God do the rest
Take the challenges that life has laid at your feet
Take pride and be thankful for each one you meet
To yourself give forgiveness if you stumble and fall
Take each day that is dealt you and give it your all
Take the love that you’re given and return it with care
Have faith that when needed it will always be there
Take time to find the beauty in the things that you see
Take life’s simple pleasures let them set your heart free
The idea here is simply to even the score
As you are met and faced with Life’s Tug Of War

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
James 1:2-5 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers
temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire,
wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth
to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto
thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall
direct thy paths.”
1 Chronicles 16:25-29 “For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised:
He also is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the people are
idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Glory and honour are in His presence;
strength and gladness are in His place. Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of
the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.”
Psalm 20:6-9 “Now know I that the LORD saveth His anointed; He will hear
him from His Holy Heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some
trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of
the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and
stand upright. Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.”
Psalm 37:23-26 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He
delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down:
for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am
old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging
bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.”
