Do you believe in Angels? Have you ever been saved by one of these Angels
from a terrible accident? I have. I can distinctly remember two separate
occasions where I was saved from a deadly car accident. I know I should
have been killed in at least one of these accidents, but because either my
car sped up just enough or their car slowed down just enough, we missed
each other by a hair and neither of us were injured. We can call this
coincidence or good luck, but I choose to believe it was God's Angel who
pushed both of us out of the path of destruction and sent both drivers
home safely that day. The goodness of God is beyond our comprehension to
understand it. He gives us more than we deserve, mercy for when we fall
short and grace enough to know that we are loved even when we are unlovable.
Knowing that we have such a great Savior, let us remember His goodness
towards us and try our best to do the same for our brothers and sisters
all around us. Let us be their visible Angels and do for them when they
can't do for themselves. In moments of disaster or catastrophe God sends
His invisible Angels at just the right moment to intervene and save us,
many times without our knowledge or awareness of it. Wouldn't it be
wonderful if on a much smaller scale we can do a similar thing for someone
around us in need and show them perfect love without any motive, except to
show God's love and mercy just as we have seen it in times past? The Lord
Jesus declares in Matthew 5:7-9 “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall
obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of
God.” (Psalm 117:1-2)
Let us do our best to be merciful, to be pure in heart and to be
peacemakers amongst ourselves. Let us show our love without motive and
treat others just as we wish to be treated. Let us show the same mercy
towards that one in need as God has shown to us in our time of need. His
love is perfect and unwavering and as His children and followers so must
ours be as well. Let us practice it until it is perfected. Only then will
we begin to understand what His love is all about. (Luke 6:30-36) (Psalm 145:8-19)
I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to take every
opportunity that comes your way to make a difference in the lives of others
and show by your actions the love of God that is perfect and without motive.
GUARDIAN ANGELS
I believe in guardian angels. Since I was a boy I have felt watched over,
loved, and protected by my unseen friends and I am so thankful to God for
them. I have had far too many near misses with hurt and harm over the
years for it to be mere luck. I guess my guardian angels are keeping me
around for a reason and I will do my best not to make their work too hard
in the future.
I also believe in guardian angels because I have seen one in action over
the years. My oldest son graduates from high school this Spring. Through
all of his years in school he has struggled with Autism. It has made it
difficult for him to learn, to relate to others, and to function in this
world. Thankfully, though, he has had a guardian angel with him every step
of the way. His aide has been there with him through all the difficulties,
through all the triumphs, through all the pains, and through all the joys.
She was there when he first started to speak in sentences.
She was there when he first started to read. She was there when he first
started to make friends and play with the other children. She helped him
through every frustration he faced and comforted him through every bit of
sadness he had to endure. She helped him to become the happy and loving
soul that he is today. She loved him, cared for him, guided him, encouraged
him, and watched over him. She has been his aide, his friend, his second
mother, and his guardian angel. Words can never express all the good that
she has done for him. All I can say to her is “Thank you so much for being
such an angel in my son’s life.”
There are many guardian angels in our lives. Some are unseen, but some walk
with us and help us every day. Take the time then to thank God for all the
guardian angels in this world. Take the time as well to thank all the
guardian angels that touch your own life. But most of all take the time to
be a loving, joyous guardian angel yourself to every hurting heart that
needs you.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
John 13:34-35 Jesus says, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love
one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this
shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
Hebrews 13:1-3 “Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain
strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember them
that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity as
being yourselves also in the body.”
Colossians 3:23-25 “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord,
and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of
the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong
shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of
persons.”
Luke 6:35-36 Jesus declares “But love ye your enemies, and do good, and
lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye
shall be the children of the Highest: for He is kind unto the unthankful
and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.”
Galatians 6:2-4 “Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of
Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he
deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he
have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.”
Romans 15:1-4 “We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of
the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let every one of us please his
neighbour for his good to edification. For even Christ pleased not
Himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached
thee fell on Me. For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written
for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures
might have hope.”
