I am a firm believer that every life is significant upon this earth. Every person that has breath within their being is able to make a positive difference in their circle and in turn they can make it a better and brighter circle. What we must always remember and keep in mind is that light defuses darkness. When we allow the light that is within our hearts to shine forth to encourage, to inspire, to lift up and minister to those who are feeling downtrodden, we are making a greater impact than we can ever think, know or fully realize. That is why I believe we should always take the initiative to be a beacon of hope and light that others are drawn to and wish to emulate. When we lead our life by the example that the Lord Jesus has set forth, then we will find it easy to love our neighbor as ourselves and to do unto others as we would want them to do unto us. (Matthew 5:14-16) (John 13:14-17)
Be encouraged to see your life as an illuminating tower of hope. Speak only positive, overcoming, affirming and encouraging words of love that others can receive into their spirits so that they may believe in themselves anew and see that they too can shine their light that others are drawn to and encouraged from. It is a wonderful thing to know that our life was the catalyst in which someone else's life became better than it was before. We will with humble hearts be grateful to the Lord that He found us worthy enough to be used of Him to make a positive impact upon this world. I have always believed that a well lived life is a life lived in service to others. When we help others to stand taller, we are giving them a gift that will never lose its value. (Galatians 6:9-10) (Ephesians 4:29-32)
No matter where you are in life, I want you to know that you can be a world changer simply by affecting one life in a good and positive way. The ripples that will continue on in that one's life will be unknowable to you, but rest assured that it was because of you that the ripples started. I encourage you again to put away all selfishness and esteem others higher than yourself. When you do, you will be proud of having lived a well and full life no matter how long you may live. (Isaiah 6:8) (Philippians 2:1-3)
I hope this message inspires and encourages your heart to be a light in a dark world and allow your light to always shine brightly.
JUST BY BEING IN IT
My old friends have returned for another summer of fun in my backyard. There must be hundreds of them out there every night. I can’t stay up with them anymore, but I sure do love watching them dance in the darkness for the first few hours after the sun goes down. They don’t even need any music and I never have to worry about them bumping into each other either, because each one of them carries their own light.
Watching my friends, the fireflies, light up my backyard every night brings me nothing but joy. I feel my own light shining a little brighter when I see them and I feel a little closer to God’s love as I look at them. What a wonderful love God must have for us all to give us such a beautiful world full of amazing creatures like these. They make the whole world a better place just by being in it.
Just think of what a paradise Earth would become if everyone of us also did our best to live a life so beautiful that we made the world a better place just by being in it. Just think what it would be like if all of us started each day by remembering how much God loves us and by thanking Him for our lives. Just think what it would be like if we all took the time needed to fully love God, ourselves, and others. Just think what it would be like if each of us spent each and everyday sharing love, joy, goodness, laughter, and smiles with everyone we met. Like my firefly friends we all would be carrying our own light, and our souls would be shining bright enough to light up the whole world.
Start today then. Start shining your light now. Live from your soul. Brighten the lives of all those around you. Be a beacon to others. Live a life of such joy, love, and oneness with God that you make the world a better place just by being in it. This world needs your light.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Deuteronomy 4:30-31 “When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto His voice; (For the LORD Thy God is a merciful God;) He will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which He sware unto them.”
James 1:2-5 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
2 Corinthians 4:15-17 “For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”
Jeremiah 29:11-14 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD...” “”
