This life that we are living isn't meant to be complicated. We aren't created to live in this world in worry, fear, doubt or uncertainty. We have been given God's instruction manual on life, The Holy Bible, and within its timeless pages we are given the instruction that we need to live joyously, to live at peace, to live triumphantly and to be victorious in our endeavors. Where we fail however is when we lose track of our Divine Connection to God and we allow the temporary trials to keep our focus and attention and in turn make us lose our peace in Him. What we must always remember and keep in mind is that we are created to love. When we keep love at the center of our being, we will not allow any situation or circumstance to make us react in a negative manner. We will hold fast to the teachings of the Lord Jesus who commanded that we forgive, that we turn the other cheek, that we give without motive, love without pretense and lead our life by the example that He has set for us. (1 John 4:17-18) (2 Timothy 1:7)
I encourage you to go back to the Bible if you have been finding it difficult to hold on to your peace. Allow the Lord to speak to your heart to encourage you and show you that by living your life by His commandments, it will be to your benefit and your life will be all the better for it. No matter what may come your way, you have the ability to stay in peace, but you must have the willingness to let go of any anger and unforgiveness that may lie within your heart. Allow the Lord to be your vindicator because He says “Vengeance is mine, I will repay.” (Hebrews 4:11-16) (Romans 12:19)
Do your best to live your life to its fullest potential and don't allow anything to hinder your progress. Live, love, laugh, forgive, encourage, inspire, affirm and lead each new day that you are lucky and blessed enough to see by the example that the Lord Jesus has set for us. If you do, you will not have any regrets about how you lived your life when you are in the twilight of your years. (1 Peter 3:8-12) (Luke 6:27-31)
I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to live each new day with pureness of heart allowing your positive influence to impact all those who cross your path.
LIFE IS SIMPLE
My first born son is mentally handicapped, yet in so many ways he is far wiser than I am. He has an intuitive knowledge of what is important in life. When we go out he looks people in the eye, calls them by name, and shares his smile far more easily than I do. He goes through life with a soul full of love, joy, and kindness that he gives to everyone he meets. He makes others feel better. He makes each day shine brighter. He makes this world more beautiful just by being in it. He may not understand everything in life, but he knows how to live happily and lovingly. He shows me every day that life is simple. It is we who make it complicated.
You see, life is just the choices we make each day. We can choose to love or we can choose to be afraid. We can choose to help or we can choose to turn away. We can choose to forgive or we can choose to hate. We can choose to be kind or we can choose to be cruel. We can choose to trust or we can choose to be suspicious. We can choose to give or we can choose to take. We can choose to serve or we can choose to be selfish. We can choose to laugh or we can choose to sulk. We can choose to cry or we can choose to hide our hearts. We can choose to smile or we can choose to stress. We can choose to be at peace or we can choose to be at war within ourselves. We can choose to live or we can choose to just exist. We can choose to believe God loves us or we can choose to live in doubt. We can choose to shine our souls or we can choose to dwell in darkness. We can choose to make this world more like Heaven or we can choose to make this world more like Hell.
My son knows these choices by heart and always makes the right ones. I hope to one day get there as well. Until then I will do my best to live simply, to be wise, and to choose well. Until then I will do my best to love God, myself, and others. May you do the same.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
1 John 3:16-19 “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.”
Matthew 12:35-37 Jesus declares “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”
Philippians 2:2-3 “Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.”
1 John 4:7-11 “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”
