1302nd -- Painting A Picture

We should always paint a picture of happiness concerning how we wish to see our life. What we think, say and do on a daily basis has much to do with the direction that our life will take. We are either blessing our days or we are cursing our days. We are doing this each and every day of our life consciously and unconsciously and that is why we should recognize that our outlook on life has much to do with the direction that our life takes. Knowing that we have much to do with our own happiness, we should always take the initiative to sow good, healthy, happy and positive seeds into our own life so that they may take root and bring forth a joyous harvest that will direct our life into the right direction where blessings will abound and overtake us. (Proverbs 29:18)

I encourage you to think about the pictures that you paint concerning your life. Are they encouraging, are they inspiring, are they lifted up and do they point you in the right direction? If not, I would challenge you to change how you think, what you say and how you feel about your life. Nothing good or positive can happen unless you are willing to change. Seeing your present circumstances and murmuring or complaining about them does nothing to change them, but if you look past your present and speak positive, affirming and uplifting words of praise, I believe your present situation will not be your lasting situation. You will be blessing your future by looking past any present troubles and calling the things that are not as though they already are. Faith and action can move mountains, but we must believe what we say and hope for while we are still in the midst of trouble. (Romans 4:17) (Matthew 17:20)

I encourage you again to bless your own life with a positive outlook. Believe that God is a rewarder of faithfulness and do your best each and every new day that you are blessed enough to see to paint a picture of joy, happiness, love, oneness and total and complete peace. When you do you will see amazing changes take place in your life. (Hebrews 11:6)

I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to see that it is to your benefit to see your life as it can be painting a picture that will elevate your life.

TAKING A PICTURE

I have a new favorite picture. It was taken on Memorial Day weekend at a family reunion. They say that, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” Well this one is worth a thousand books. I look at it whenever I need a reminder of what life is all about.

In the background is a family graveyard with fresh flowers placed everywhere. The sun is shining through the trees and glistening off the stones with a glorious light. In the front of the picture in the shade of the trees is my daughter. She is holding her 2 year old cousin in her arms and gently kissing her on the cheek. This single picture holds so much. There is beautiful nature, flowers, sunshine, and trees. There is life, death, remembrance, and the promise of an even greater life after this one. There is renewal, youth, and growing up. There is hugs, kisses, joy, and laughter. There is family, caring, and sharing. There is wonderful togetherness. There is light, shadow, happiness and sadness. Most of all, though, there is love. There is love for those who have passed and for those who remain. There is love for life and love for each other. There is also our love for God and God’s love for us. I can’t help but feel that Heaven must have been smiling down when this picture was taken. It was one of those glorious moments of love that God meant for us to live.

Life is a series of pictures. It is moments of love chosen and cherished. It is wonderful memories created and enjoyed. It is instances when we share laughter, bring joy, offer kindness, give goodness, and deliver delight from our hearts and souls. It is times when we think, learn, pray, and grow. It is seconds when we finally begin to realize what we are truly here for and what life is really about. May all of your pictures be happy ones then. May they all be taken with love. And may you always feel Heaven smiling down upon them.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Philippians 2:13-15 “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.”

Hebrews 13:5-6 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”

Psalm 46:1-3 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
