So many people today are frustrated with where they are in their life. They wish they were on a better path than they currently are and instead of being joy filled, they find themselves discouraged and feeling defeated. What we must each understand about our life is that it does not have to stay in the same defeated position that it has been before. We are all a work in progress. None of humanity has reached a point of completeness because to be complete is to have everything perfect, but perfection only belongs to God. Knowing that we will never reach a point of perfection, we should try our best to help ourselves in our present troubles. How can we do that? We do that by changing our bad habits. We have to stop doing the things that hinder our life and start doing the things that will add to our life. Eating healthier foods, exercising, thinking positive and uplifting thoughts, forgiving offenses, seeing the best in others are all life affirming goals that each of us should be striving to do each and every day. (Galatians 6:7-10) (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
When we change our habits, we will change our life. We can’t continue walking down the wrong path and expect to arrive at the right destination. It is the same thing with our life. We can’t sow the wrong seeds and expect to reap the right harvest. In order for there to be a positive change in our life we have to consciously make positive decisions that will lead our life towards the right path that will lead to our joy, happiness, peace and contentment. No matter how discouraged you may feel right now, I want you to know that you have the ability to change. You simply have to be sick and tired of being sick and tired so that you may rise up with a righteous indignation being determined that your life will be significant for your betterment and for the betterment of those around you. When we dig our heels in and make up our minds, nothing will be able to stop us from reaching the Heights of Victory that each of us deserve to stand upon. We just need to have that determination that nothing except success will be acceptable. (2 Corinthians 4:15-17) (Psalm 37:3-5)
I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to do your absolute best to break every bad habit and do the right things that will elevate your life and not hinder it.
TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT
Keep doing the same thing and you will keep getting the same results.
Two men were avid moose hunters. Every year they chartered a plane to take them to the Canadian back country. This year hunting was especially good and in a few days they each bagged a moose. They radioed for their pilot to come pick them up.
When the plane arrived, the pilot took one look at the animals and told the hunters they could not take such a heavy load along.
“But we spent all week hunting for these moose,” they protested. “And besides, the pilot we hired last year wasn't worried about the moose's weight.”
After much argument, the pilot finally relented and allowed them to load the moose. The heavy plane was only airborne for a few minutes when it lost altitude and crashed into the side of a mountain.
As the men struggled out of the wreckage, one hunter asked, “Where are we?”
His friend answered, “About a mile farther than we got last year.”
Keep doing the same thing and you will keep getting the same results. It is true of flying and it is true of living.
What is not working well for you? A habit you are trying to break? A relationship with a parent or spouse or child or friend? What is a source of on-going frustration? Getting around to that project you keep promising to complete? Never having enough money to pay the bills? Running up against the same old walls at work?
The truth is, if you keep doing the same things you will keep getting the same results. So, if you don't like the way things are turning out, something must change. Are you ready to try something different?

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Psalm 40:1-4 “I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.”
James 1:2-5 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him My salvation.”
Psalm 37:23-25 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”
Psalm 107:6-9 “Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”
