In order for there to be any positive changes in our life we must be willing and disciplined enough to bring change into our life. So many times people want things to be different in their life, but they keep doing the same things over and over again. We can’t expect to achieve different results when we continue to do the same things. Walking down the same street will get us to the same destination. In order for there to be a change we must change the street we are traveling on. We have to be disciplined, focused and most importantly willing to change in order for there to be a change. We have to replace the bad habits with good habits. We have to switch our focus from defeat to victory, from failure to success, from lack to overflow, from sickness to health, from depression to hopefulness and see ourselves as God sees us as His beloved child who was meant to be an overcomer. (Isaiah 1:19) (John 12:26)
We are created in the image and likeness of Almighty God. The Lord has given us His Word and authority to call those things that are not in our life as though they already are. We don’t have to stay in defeat. We don’t have to believe that mediocrity will be our life’s portion. When we stand up anew focused and determined to become more than we are right now I believe God will stand up with us and will help us open those closed doors, straighten those crooked paths and lead us to our victory that was predestined for our life before the foundation of the world. That’s how much God thinks of us. He loves us with an everlasting love and wishes for our life to be significant upon the earth. We just have to believe in ourselves again as God has always believed in us and do those positive things that we are not currently doing so that we can change the course of our life. (Romans 4:17-20) (Isaiah 42:16)
I encourage you to always believe in yourself and know that your life is meant for greatness no matter how you may feel right now. Believe that change is possible. Strive to change the bad habits into good habits and believe me when you put your whole heart into achieving change you will transition into the person that God can use to change this world for the better. God has done it in my life and I know He can do it in yours just the same. (Isaiah 6:8) (James 4:6-10)
I hope this poem speaks to your heart to be determined to bring a positive change in your life no matter how difficult it may seem right now. Stay with it until a good and positive change happens.
OUT WITH THE OLD
Last Week I threw out WORRYING,
It was getting old and in the way.
It kept me from being me,
I couldn't do things my way.
I threw out those inhibitions,
They were just crowding me out.
Made room for my New Growth,
Got rid of my old thoughts and doubts.
I threw out a book on MY PAST
(didn't have time to read it anyway).
Replaced it with New Goals,
Started reading it today.
I threw out childhood toys
(remember how I treasured them so)?
Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too,
Threw out the one from long ago.
Bought in some new books too,
Called I CAN, I WILL, and I MUST.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.
WOW, You should've seen the dust.
I ran across an OLD FRIEND,
Haven't seen him in a while.
I believe his name is GOD,
Yes, I really like His style.
He helped me to do some cleaning
And added some thing’s Himself.
Like PRAYER, HOPE and FAITH,
Yes I placed them right on the shelf.
I picked up this special thing
And placed it at the front door.
I FOUND IT - it’s called PEACE.
Nothing gets me down anymore.
Yes, I've got my house looking nice.
Looks good around the place.
For things like Worry and Trouble
There just isn't any place.
It’s good to do a little house cleaning,
Get rid of the old things on the shelf.
It sure makes things brighter,
Maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Proverbs 3:5-7 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.”
Psalm 20:6-7 “Now know I that the LORD saveth His anointed; He will hear him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”
Psalm 28:6-8 “Blessed be the LORD, because He hath heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him. The LORD is their strength, and He is the saving strength of His anointed.”
Hebrews 4:14-16 “Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”
Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
