There are many times that we go through life waiting for "The best
days of
our life" and not appreciating the time that we are in now. I hope
you
will be both challenged and encouraged by this message that shows
how we
need to not look for the future to enjoy and appreciate life, but
rather
to make today the best day of our life.
THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE
Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day
of my
life, ever!
There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but
I did!
And because I did, I'm going to celebrate!
Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had
so far:
the accomplishments, the many blessings, and yes, even the
hardships
because they have served to make me stronger.
I will go through this day with my head held high, and with a
happy heart.
I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew,
the sun,
the clouds, the trees, the flowers, and the birds. Today, none of
these
miraculous creations will escape my notice.
Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll
make
someone smile. I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act
of
kindness for someone I don't even know.
Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down.
I'll tell
a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how
deeply I
care for them and how much they mean to me.
Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start
being
grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me.
I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my
faith in
God and His Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.
Tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to
the
heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the
moon, and
I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.
As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank
the
Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep
of a
contented child, excited with expectation because I know tomorrow
is going
to be...The Best Day Of My Life!

I encourage you to appreciate each day that you have on this
earth.
Tomorrow is promised to no man and that is all the more reason
that we
should enjoy each other today. Tell your family member that you
love them
and that you appreciate everything they have done for you. Take on
the
mentality to make each day its best, never giving the enemy the
satisfaction of complaining and murmuring about how you wish life
should
have been. (James 4:13-14) (1 Corinthians 10:10)
The Bible says that we should give thanks to the Lord in
everything. The
good, the bad, the blessings and the hardships. In everything give
thanks.
Encourage yourself today and put a smile on your face and say to
yourself,
"I will have great days from here on out. I will enjoy and
appreciate the
great things God has given me." Make it your priority to say
"Thank you
Lord" every morning when you wake up. (1 Thes. 5:18) (Philippians
4:10-13)
Only when we appreciate the good things God has given us can we
live a
peaceful and Joy filled life. Don't wait for the future to enjoy
your
life, but rather enjoy every moment on your journey, and while you
are
traveling through it, continue to give thanks to the One that is
guiding
your days and your nights. (Psalm 139:8-10)
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in
everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ
Jesus for you."
James 4:13-15 "Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will
go to such
and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a
profit";
whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is
your life?
It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then
vanishes away.
Instead you ought to say, If the Lord wills, we shall live and do
this or that."
Luke 12:22-24 Jesus says, "…Do not worry about your life, what you
will
eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than
food,
and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they
neither
sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God
feeds them.
Of how much more value are you than the birds?"
Proverbs 3:5-8 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean
not on your
own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall
direct
your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and
depart from
evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your
bones."
