1435th -- Spare Thoughts

We should always carry ourselves in a loving way walking in our integrity caring for our fellow man and treating others as we would want to be treated. Living example minded is how we can continuously glorify God because we walk as He walked, act as He acted and love as He loved without motive or pretense. Asking anyone to live as Jesus lived is a tall order because Jesus was perfect in all His ways and just in all His acts. That is why we have the Holy Spirit. We can’t mimic one iota of the Lord’s life without the Holy Spirit within our hearts. The Holy Spirit within us is what strengthens us, encourages us, inspires us and leads us onto the best path for our life. When we are sensitive to the still small voice of God our life will go from ordinary to extraordinary in a very short timeframe. By following the leading of the Lord we will bypass every pitfall, stumbling block and obstacle that would try to take our life off course. By surrendering our will and allowing God’s will to be done our life will be used in ways that we never thought or imagined would be possible. And isn’t that what each of us should strive for? To be remembered for doing good, being kind, helping, elevating, inspiring and affirming others? My answer would be yes at all times, in all circumstances and at every opportunity that God brings my way. (Psalm 26:11-12) (Luke 6:31)

Be encouraged to believe that your life can be the catalyst in which the lives of multitudes will be changed for the better. You don’t have to be “special, unique, gifted and filled with wisdom” because God loves to use the outcast, the failure, the unable so that no man can be boastful in His presence. That is what we read in 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in His presence.” That Scripture qualifies everyone to be a world changer realizing and recognizing that it is not in our own strength and wisdom that we are successful, but it is in God’s strength, leading and directing that we can make a difference that will never be forgotten or erased. (1 Peter 4:102) (Corinthians 12:9)

I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to adapt these simple anecdotes for daily living so that your days may be well with you.

SPARE THOUGHTS

Anger is a condition in which the tongue, works faster than the mind.

You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying over the future.

Love . . . . and you shall be loved.

All people smile in the same language.

A hug is a great gift, one size fits all. It can be given for any occasion and it's easy to exchange.

Everyone needs to be loved, especially when they do not deserve it.

The real measure of a man's wealth is what he has invested in eternity.

Laughter is liquid sunshine.

Everything has beauty but not everyone sees it.

It's important for parents to live the same things they teach.

If you fill your heart with regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, you have no today to be thankful for.

Happy memories never wear out. Relive them as often as you want.

Home is the place where we grumble the most, but are often treated the best.

The choice you make today will usually affect tomorrow.

Take time to laugh for it is the music of the soul.

If anyone speaks badly of you, live so none will believe it.

Patience is the ability to idle your motor, when you feel like stripping your gears.

Love is strengthened by working through conflicts together.

The best thing parents can do for their children, is to love each other.

Harsh words break no bones but they do break hearts.

To get out of a difficulty, one usually must go through it.

We take for granted the things that we should be giving thanks for.

Love is the only thing that can be divided, without being diminished.

Do what you can, for who you can, with what you have, and where you are.

Happiness is enhanced by others but does not depend upon others.

For every minute you are angry with someone, you lose 60 seconds of happiness that you can never get back.

You are richer today if you have laughed, given or forgiven.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Matthew 12:36-37 Jesus declares
“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

Psalm 34:1-4 “I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together. I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”

Isaiah 40:28-29 “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of His understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.”

Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
