1463rd -- Three Steps To Success

We should always believe this truth that God created every person with a plan and purpose in mind. We each have a destiny to fulfill, but many times the enemy will plant seeds of doubt in our mind making us question our gifts, talents and abilities. What many people end up doing is believing the lies of the enemy and think that their life is insignificant and their ability inadequate to bring about any kind of positive change. What we as believers in the Lord Jesus must remember and keep in mind is that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loves us, redeems us and sets us on the right path that leads to our victory. The Bible declares in Psalm 37:23-25 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” On our journey towards success we may falter, we may fall and we may fail, but the Lord will be there to pick us up, dust us off and set us back on course towards our victory. We just have to believe that victory and success is waiting for us to receive them for ourselves. (Psalm 139:14-18) (Romans 8:37-39)

When we make up our minds and believe God’s Word that His blessings belong to the righteous then we have to walk in line according to our beliefs. We can’t say we believe God and then go on murmuring and complaining about the tough challenges that are in our path because our negativity will cancel out our faith confession. Our mindset, our words, our attitude all have to be in line together in order for us to be triumphant over the trials and challenges that come our way. We have to say daily in the good and in the bad that we are “More than conquerors through Christ. We will be the head and not the tail, lenders and not borrowers, above only and not beneath. All things are possible through Christ and because we are His workmanship nothing shall be impossible to us. Joy and peace follows us, God’s strengthening empowers us, the Holy Spirit leads and guides us and everything that we lay our hands to will prosper.” When we have this kind of confession of faith God in heaven and the Angels all around take heed and are proud to see such faith filled confessions of victory and trust. May we each believe in ourselves as God believes in us and strive to become all that God has created us to be. (Deuteronomy 28:11-13) (Ephesians 2:10)

I hope this message inspires and challenges you to go after your dreams and aspirations with all of your heart and with a renewed determination knowing that God wishes for you to prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.

THREE STEPS TO SUCCESS

Here are three simple steps to make things happen in your life:

DO IT. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale put it like this: “Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.”

If you wait until you have all the facts or until you know how you will handle every possible challenge that comes along, you'll never get started. Begin somewhere. You can't accomplish anything until you begin. Do it.

DO IT RIGHT. One poet put it like this:

“If a task is once begun,
Never leave until it's done.
Be the labor great or small,
Do it well or not at all.”

It's true: if you don't have time to do it right, when will you find time to do it over? Do it right.

DO IT RIGHT NOW. In the Spanish-American War, as the American soldiers were trying to capture San Juan Hill, they were thrown back again and again. The black powder ammunition they were using pinpointed their position for their enemies. As soldier after soldier toppled, the troops began to panic. Up rode Teddy Roosevelt, on a little horse named "Texas," urging his men on. Encouraged by his bravery in exposing himself to the whizzing bullets, the troops began to cheer their commander.

“Don't cheer, men,” Roosevelt called out to them. “Fight! Now's the time to fight!”

There is a time to cheer. A time to reflect. A time to plan. A time to reminisce. But there is also a time to act. Those who accomplish anything worthwhile know that time is now.

Do it. Do it right. Do it right now. These are three simple steps to success.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 “...Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”

1 Peter 2:9-10 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”

James 1:2-5 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

Psalm 91:14-16 “Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him My salvation.”

Psalm 118:4-6 “Let them now that fear the LORD say, that His mercy endureth for ever. I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
