There are many moments in life when we feel like giving up because we have tried our best and given our all and still fell short. In these moments of discouragement it is important that we reflect on and remember the many times that God intervened at just the right time to pull us through, to establish our footing and to give us the assurance that He is right there by our side cheering us on to try again just one more time. God’s love for humanity can never be understood by our finite minds because we know of our impurity, we know of our many failings, and our shortfalls are way too many to count. Seeing how imperfect we are it is understandable to doubt how God can love us still, but that is where our understanding ends and God’s understanding begins. God declares in Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” This Scripture should give us confidence to call upon the Lord when we are in distress and to trust in God’s plans for our life because He sees the whole picture while we only see in part. (Psalm 139:1-10) (Proverbs 8:13-21)
When we live our life with the forethought that God’s grace and mercy envelops our life we won’t become anxious when the storms begin to rage and when the trials try to overwhelm us because we will already have the assurance that in the end all will be well with us. That is faith in action. The Bible declares in Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” When we are confident in God’s ability to sustain us we will go through life much more at ease and we won’t be wasting our time worrying about the unknown or fearing what our tomorrows may hold for us. May we each be as trusting towards our Heavenly Father as a child is towards their earthly parents and may we know that no matter what may come our way we will come out of it better, wiser and stronger than we were before and we will use what we learned for our betterment and the betterment of those around us. (Romans 8:28) (2 Timothy 1:6-9)
I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to go through life being thankful for God’s mercy, love and grace that is offered to every child who trusts in the Lord.
GRACE
I purchased another used car recently. With the price of gas soaring I was in need of a smaller vehicle that could get me better mileage. I found just such a car at a tiny lot just a few miles from my home. I named the car, “Little Gracie” because I felt it was by the Grace of God that I had found such a great car, in such good shape, for such a low price, and from such a gracious dealer. I smile with delight now every time I ride in my “Little Gracie.” She handles like a dream, sips gas, and is a joy to drive. Most of all though she reminds me that God’s grace surrounds us always in this life. All we have to do is accept it into our hearts.
God’s grace has been with me all through my own life even when I didn’t realize it. His grace has saved me from harm many times both as a child and an adult. His grace has stayed by my side even during those times when I only wanted to listen to my own ego. His grace has been with me through pain, problems, grief, suffering, tragedies, and even despair. His grace has even reached down and picked me up when I hit rock bottom a few times. God’s grace has been all around me as I struggled with it, learned from it, and grew in faith and love because of it.
God’s grace is with me now as I write and share this with you. Ralph Waldo Emerson himself said that "All writing comes by the Grace of God, and all doing and having." The truth is that God’s grace isn’t just for helping you get through this life. It is for helping you to live it too. It is only with God’s grace that you can live fully. It is only with God’s grace that you can give totally. It is only with God’s grace that you can love unconditionally.
May you always accept and welcome God’s love and grace into your life. May you always fill your days, your heart, and your soul with it. May you always find the greatest joy in life by sharing it with others as well.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Psalm 16:8-11 “I have set the LORD always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. For Thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt Thou suffer Thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.”
Psalm 100:1-5 “Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”
Psalm 34:1-4 “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.”
1 Chronicles 16:8-12 “Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works! Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore! Remember His marvelous works which He has done...”
