205th -- Laying Life On The Line

Our God has infinite wisdom and unsearchable understanding. There is no
problem too big for our God. God is so mighty and powerful that He has
created every star in the universe and calls them each by name. God is so
much bigger than our circumstances and we need to remember that when
problems arise in our life, we need to show our confidence in the Lord and
know that He is wise enough to bring a solution to that problem. I
encourage you to go to your problems with the attitude of Victory and a
knowing that God is much bigger than that problem, and is well able to
bring solutions to whatever situation that tries to bring anxiety and
worry. When your answer comes, always remember to give Glory and Honour
to the Most High God who is our Great I Am. (Psalm 147:4) (Exodus 3:13-14)

The Lord has given me a new idea that I will be implementing into each of
our messages. We have many testimonies on our Website that show what
changes can come through the Power and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Many people have been blessed by the testimonies that they have read on
our website and I know it will be good to add a testimony to each of our
new Encouragement Messages. The testimonies are of different lengths so I
will simply add the link that can be accessed through our website. You
will have the option to read the testimonies that are selected if you so
desire. (Note: If you would like to submit your personal testimony, you
are welcome to send it to -- Mytestimony@godswork.org)

-----------------------

I truly believe in living life by example. We as believers in the Lord
Jesus Christ need to always keep in mind that we are His hands and feet on
the earth. We need to be helping, caring and loving to all those who are
not traveling on the correct path; that they may see the Lord Jesus through
us and by our example want to be like Him.

I hope you enjoy this story that shows what great things can come forth by
our intercession. As you read the story, I hope you take it personally
and think of the changes that you yourself are able to bring in someone
else's life.

LAYING LIFE ON THE LINE

As a New York skyscraper went up, hundreds paused daily to glance up at it.
One day they watched a ponderous metal beam go up to take its place in the
steel skeleton. As the girder came near, a workman leaned out from the
sixteenth floor to seize it. The spectators gasped as he lost his balance
and fell. Desperately, he clutched the girder's end with arms and legs.
The ground crew stopped the hoisting engine, but the man's weight at one
end began to tilt the beam to a vertical position, which would eventually
cause him to lose his grasp and fall to his death.

With swift decision, another worker on the same floor, seeing his friend's
predicament, leaped through space and landed on the other end, where his
weight leveled the beam. Amid the applause of the crowd, both men were
safely lowered to the street.

Every day people around us lose their balance on moral questions--they
consider having an affair with a co-worker, taking company funds, lying to
close a deal, toying with drugs and alcohol.

Wrong decisions may hurt them and their families for years and cost their
souls in Eternity. They need friends interested in helping them keep their
balance, by exemplary lives, by sacrificial living, by speaking a word for
Christ. Here no one applauds, but it will be worth it all when we receive
the approval of the Master. (1 Cor. 4:5)

Live your life in the manner to which Christ lived and others are sure to
take notice.

By W.W. Clay

Helping others is a decision we each have to consciously make. It is a
choice we each have to either help someone come out of their pit or simply
walk by. Showing love and compassion to someone who cannot see the light
right now may be enough to bring back the Joy of the Lord in their life.
The Bible says there is no greater love then for a friend to lay down his
life for another. Love is what is shown when we intercede and try to make
a difference in that one's life who is down and depressed right now.
(Matthew 10:7-8) (Nehemiah 8:10) (John 15:11-13)

I challenge you to think back on your life and think of the people that
helped you when you needed someone to lift you up. By their intercession
in your life, a burden was made a little lighter and made it easier for
you to get up and continue on. I encourage you to keep this in mind when
you're helping someone else because it will make your intervention become a
double portion blessing because you and that person will be changed for
the better.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Matthew 5:43-45 Jesus says
"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall
love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your
enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray
for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of
your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the
good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."

Matthew 6:1-4 Jesus declares
"Take heed that you do not do your charitable
deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from
your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not
sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in
the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you,
they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your
left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may
be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you
openly."

Luke 6:37-38 Jesus declares
"Judge not, and you shall not be judged.
Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be
forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down,
shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with
the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."

1 Corinthians 3:8-11 "Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each
one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are Gods
fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building. According to
the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have
laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed
how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which
is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

All scriptures can be found in the New King James Version.
