I hope you are doing well and in the best of health. I have not written a
whole message in quite awhile and the reason is because I have simply not
felt led to do so. To be honest with you I wanted to know why, and so I
prayed and asked God why He hasn't led me in writing a complete message.
The only answer I received was, "Don't worry, and just continue doing what
you're doing." I believe God tries us at times to see if we will continue
to stay faithful in doing the same work that we've been doing even when we
want to hear God's voice leading and cheering us on all the time.
This message that God led me to write is both for your Encouragement and to
cheer on your dedication to the Lord. Serving the Lord Jesus and staying
faithful to Him may not always be easy and we may sometimes feel that our
work is all in vain, but we must stand firm and never give in to the voice
of discouragement. There is not one person in this world that will give a
cup of water to someone in need that will be in vain. The Bible says that
our acts and deeds are recorded in the books of heaven giving credit to our
Heavenly account. When we receive negative criticism from others or just
from our own mind, it is that much more important that we get into God's
Word and renew in our memory the verses of God's everlasting promises. Our
work for the Lord is never in vain, so encourage yourself and know that God
is proud of your faithfulness. (Mark 9:41) (Romans 12:2-8) (Hebrews 10:23)
The more I grow in the Lord, the more I learn of His nature. Just as a
parent lovingly nourishes their child and eventually let's go to let the
child grow up, so it is with God who carefully guides our steps and then
sits back to watch our progress. When we first come to Christ, God handles
us with care just like a newborn baby. As we grow in the Lord and learn
His commandments and statutes for life, we are slowly weaned off of God's
spiritual milk and given the grown-up food that parents give their children
for their continued growth and nourishment. I believe it is in this time
of spiritual maturity that we take on responsibilities that are dependent
upon our faithfulness in staying strong and devoted to the Lord.
(1 Corinthians 3:1-2) (Hebrews 5:12-14)
It is important that in times of quietness from the Lord we stay faithful
to Him and know that He is still working in us and through us. We need to
stay faithful to the Lord even when we don't hear His voice cheering us
on. We know by faith and by the authority of God's word that He will never
leave us nor forsake us. He is with us at all times even when we don't
sense His presence. The voice of the enemy comes to tell us that God is not
hearing our prayer and is not going to help us to overcome our negative
situations. We must remember the voice of discouragement comes from the
enemy because that is the tool that he is most successful with. When the
enemy comes to you with words of discouragement, I encourage you to come
back with overcoming and authoritative words of Victory through God's
Holy Word. (1 Corinthians 4:1-2) (Isaiah 30:20-21) (Proverbs 18:21)
If you are in God's service and feel discouraged because your efforts seem
to go unnoticed, please let this message be an encouragement to you to
continue on and know that God sees you and is proud of your efforts. Only
in Heaven will we know the impact of our Ministry unto the Lord. Jesus
said, "I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one
according to his work." We each have great rewards awaiting us, so never
allow the enemy to discourage your heart. The Bible says that we are to be
strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. The Bible also says there
is nothing that can separate us from the Love of God. Even though we may
not feel like it at times, God says we are mighty warriors for Christ and
in a battle that He promises will be our Victory as believers and ministers
for the Lord Jesus Christ. (Revelation 22:12) (Ephesians 6:10) (Romans 8:38-39)
Encourage yourself today in the Lord and never think about giving up on
your Life, your Family or your Ministry. Just remember if God is on your
side, who can dare to be against you? (Romans 8:31-32)
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Philippians 1:3-6 "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in
every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your
fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of
this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform
it until the day of Jesus Christ."
1 Corinthians 3:8-9 "Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and
every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we
are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's
building."
Psalm 23:1-4 "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to
lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He
restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His
name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they
comfort me."
Psalm 121:1-8 "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh
my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He
will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not
slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is Thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun
shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve
thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy
going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."
