335th -- God Forgives You

The forgiveness of the Lord is complete. When we come to Jesus and ask Him
to forgive us of our sins, He forgives completely without reservation or
apprehension. Such mercy is incomprehensible and in our finite minds we
can never understand such great love and sacrifice. I thank the Lord that
He loves me so greatly that He willfully took upon Himself my sins and
died in my stead. I thank the Lord everyday for such great love and would
encourage you to do the same. God's love and forgiveness come without
boundaries and is offered to all who come to Him with their whole heart.

I hope you are blessed by this great and simple story that shows what God's
forgiveness simply means. If you are dealing with the guilt of some past
sin, I hope today's message encourages your heart to ask for God's
forgiveness and rest in the knowledge that He will forgive you and will not
remember your sins no more. (Isaiah 43:25)

GOD FORGIVES YOU

A man suffering greatly with unforgiveness came up with the idea to write
a pastor and ask him this question, "What does God forgives you mean?" He
ended his letter by signing it, 'Sincerely, Confused'.

The letter came in the mail and landed on the pastor's desk. When he
opened the letter and read the question, the pastor thought of how he can
give a clear and concise answer. After thinking for a few moments, the
pastor wrote down his reply and mailed it to the man who had signed his
name as 'Confused'.

When the man who called himself Confused received the pastor's letter, he
couldn't wait to read what the pastor had written. All that was written
was one simple sentence. It read, Dear Confused, "God forgives you means
all of your files have been deleted."

Be encouraged and rest in the forgiveness of the Lord. We have all fallen
short at one time or another, but when we confess our sins and ask for
God's forgiveness, the Bible says God forgives us and cleanses us from all
unrighteousness. The trick of the devil is to tell us that we are beyond
redemption and God's forgiveness, but never believe the lies of the enemy.
God forgives and forgets and we need to do the same for ourselves as well
as towards those who have done something wrong against us. (1 John 1:8-9)

Remember that God's mercy and love reach from everlasting to everlasting.
His love is perfect and is welcomed to all who will simply receive.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

1 John 1:8-10 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say
that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."

1 John 2:1-2 "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye
sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus
Christ the righteous: And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for
ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."

Psalm 51:1-3 "Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness:
according unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies blot out my
transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from
my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me."

Psalm 103:10-14 "He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us
according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so
great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from
the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Like as a
father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him. For
He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust."

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
