The joy and peace that is in our hearts should never be affected by the way
others treat us, but rather we are to keep the Lord's commandment in mind
and show the love of God so that all may see His love and realize what God
offers to all who will simply receive. We are to live our life by example
and allow the peace that dwells within us to be shown toward all men that
they may see in whom we have believed. The Bible declares in 2 Timothy
2:24-25 "A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able
to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if
God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth."
(Matthew 22:37-39) (2 Timothy 1:6-13) (Matthew 5:14-16) (Isaiah 26:3-4)
Be encouraged to stand strong on the Word of God and allow the light that
shines within you to come forth to impact our world for the better.
I hope you are encouraged and challenged by today's message.
UNDESERVED KINDNESS
One evening several years ago, Sydney Harris of the Chicago Daily News and
a Quaker friend walked up to a newsstand. The Quaker bought a paper, then
thanked the vendor politely. The vendor didn't so much as acknowledge his
thanks.
"Sullen fellow, isn't he?" Harris remarked.
"I've been buying my papers from him for years, and he never responds,"
the Quaker quietly replied.
"Why, then, do you continue to be polite to him?" Harris asked.
The Quaker's answer was revealing. "Why should I let him determine how I act?"

Our kindness and good works should be done unto the Lord for it is God who
sees our acts and rewards us accordingly. We should also never think that
our efforts are in vain because God is able to use even the smallest
gesture that is done in His name to impact others and our world for the better.
Allow this message to be an encouragement to let your light shine at all
times even in the moments that fruit does not seem to be coming forth. God
is working on the hearts of men so you continue in being faithful and leave
the results up to the Lord.
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Galatians 5:22-26 "…the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified
the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us
also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one
another, envying one another."
Matthew 5:5-9 Jesus declares "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit
the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain
mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed
are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 "Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth
not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself
unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things,
believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity
never faileth…"
