When trials come our way trying to discourage us, we are to remember Who
dwells within our hearts. The Supremacy and Majesty of the Lord Jesus
Christ reigns and will continue to do so forever and ever. Before the
world was, Jesus was present and after the world perishes the Lord Jesus
Christ and His Word will continue to be. The Bible declares in John 1:1-4,
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him;
and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and
the life was the light of men." Trust in the Lord and never allow worry or
fear to enter into your heart. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad because our
Lord is alive and He cares for our well-being. (1 Corinthians 3:16-23)
I hope you are encouraged by today's message to rest in the authority of
the Lord and know that He will be there to comfort your heart no matter
what comes before you.
HOW DO WE EXPLAIN THAT?
"A young man whose father is a carpenter grows up working in his father's
shop. He has no formal education. He owns no property of any kind.
One day he puts down his tools and walks out of his father's shop. He
starts preaching on street corners and in the nearby countryside. Walking
from place to place preaching all the while, even though he is in no way
an ordained minister, he never gets farther than an area perhaps 100 miles
wide at the most.
He does this for three years. Then he is arrested, tried and convicted.
There is no court of appeal so he is executed at age 33 along with two
common thieves. Those in charge of his execution roll dice to see who gets
his clothing -- the only possessions he has.
His family cannot afford a burial place so he is interred in a borrowed tomb.
End of story?
No, this uneducated, propertyless young man who preached on street corners
for only three years who left no written word has for 2000 years had a
greater effect on the entire world than all the rulers, kings and emperors,
all the conquerors, the generals and admirals, all the scholars, scientists
and philosophers who ever lived -- all put together.
How do we explain that? Unless He really was what He said He was."

Be encouraged to trust in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Do
not allow the nay sayers to influence your relationship with the Lord, but
rather let that be motivation for you to come closer to the Lord and allow
His Word to work in you and through you. We are to be His living vessels
proclaiming His truth to all generations. Have confidence in the Lord and
know that He is well pleased when we stand strong and continue to fight the
good fight of faith. The Lord knows our emotions and has stood where we
stand, so we are to be reassured because our God sympathizes with our
afflictions and has given us Him name and authority to overcome them.
(John 19:30) (2 Timothy 2:19-21) (Matthew 18:18-20) (John 16:23-24)
I encourage you to call upon Him and rededicate your commitment to the
Lord Jesus Christ. Let God know that your heart is perfect towards Him
and with gladness will you serve Him and do all that He asks of you. A
confession like this is sure to capture the heart of God letting Him know
that our love for Him is pure and everlasting. (1 Peter 2:9-10)
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
John 1:10-12 "He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the
world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe on His name."
2 Corinthians 5:20-21 "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though
God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled
to God. For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we
might be made the righteousness of God in Him."
Hebrews 4:14-16 "Seeing then that we have a Great High Priest, that is
passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our
profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with
the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we
are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of
grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."
Romans 10:14-15 "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not
believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach,
except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them
that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"
All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
