What a great privilege it is for the believer to have the Word of God at
their fingertips. We sometimes don't realize what a great gift we have
been given by the Creator of heaven and earth. In its timeless pages, the
Holy Bible has the power to sooth, encourage, challenge, minister to,
correct, direct, uplift, motivate, rebuke, inspire, and set free. There
is not a problem too big or too small that the Bible does not speak about
and teach on. Whatever problems come our way, we can go to the Bible which
is God's instruction manual to us to calm our hearts and direct our life's
path. Be encouraged to open your Bible and spend time reading the wisdom
that God has made available to you. You will find very early that God's
word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. (Psalm 119:105)
I hope you are encouraged by today's message to spend time reading the
Bible because it will rekindle the fire within your spirit and calm every
fear that is in your heart. It is God's Word so be encouraged to read His
love letter written just for you.
THE BIBLE IS FOR EVERYONE
The Bible is shallow enough that the most timid swimmer may enjoy its
waters without fear.
It is deep enough for the most expert swimmer to enjoy without touching bottom.
Its critics have been legion, but it is still here; they are gone.
It is the root of all good civil law, and good practice.
It has comforted millions, as no other book can comfort; and still
continues to do so.
When nations ignored its teachings, they fell.
It tells what was, what is, and what will be--and epitome of life from the
cradle to the grave, and then beyond.
It is God's vital and inviolate Word, and can never be set aside.

There is not one believer that should complain of being depressed because
we have lessons in the Bible that are relevant to every generation that are
meant to equip us to fight the good fight of faith. Stories of servitude,
healing, restoration, victory over wrongful accusations, triumph over evil,
the impossible being made possible and the list goes on and on. (1 Tim. 6:12)
If you are finding yourself discouraged, read the story of Joseph that
chronicles his trials and tribulations and ultimately his victory that God
had promised him since childhood. If you are finding yourself in an
impossible situation, read the story of Abraham and Sarah who at the age
of ninety was promised by God to bear a child to fulfill God's promise to
Abraham that he would be a father of many nations. If the enemy has been
fighting you, read the story of David who slew the giant Goliath with an
exact pinpointed throw from his slingshot. Stories of victory and triumph
are made available to us so that we might be strengthened and encouraged
to continue on. (Genesis 37-48) (Genesis 17:15-22) (1 Samuel 17:4-57)
Be encouraged to read your Bible and receive the blessings that flow
throughout its timeless pages.
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but
thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do
according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way
prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
Psalm 119:10-16 "With my whole heart have I sought Thee: O let me not
wander from Thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I
might not sin against Thee. Blessed art Thou, O LORD: teach me Thy
statutes. With my lips have I declared all the judgments of Thy mouth. I
have rejoiced in the way of Thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. I
will meditate in Thy precepts, and have respect unto Thy ways. I will
delight myself in Thy statutes: I will not forget Thy word."
James 1:22-25 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving
your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is
like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth
himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man
he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth
therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man
shall be blessed in his deed."
Psalm 37:3-6 "Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the
land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and
He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the
LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring
forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday."
All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
