544th -- Getting Started

We should never allow our past mistakes and shortfalls to keep us stagnant
in this present time and in our future to come. The Lord who is quick to
forgive and forget leaves us an example that we are to follow ourselves.
We must encourage ourselves to move forward knowing that God has great
things planned for our future. We are to believe this wholeheartedly and
do all we can to fulfill God's plans for our life. Never believe the lies
of the enemy who says you are beyond redemption, forgiveness and unable to
be a success in life. This is the exact opposite of how God feels towards
His children so you encourage yourself and see that you are well able to
Start Again and stand in who God has created you to be. (Psalm 103:1-14)

I hope you are encouraged by today's message to see that it is never too
late to start fresh and fulfill God's destiny for your life.

GETTING STARTED

The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting
started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable
tasks, and then starting on the first one - Mark Twain

In his “Creed for Optimists,” Christian D. Larsen tells you how you can be
Somebody.

Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.

Make all your friends feel there is something special in them.

Look at the sunny side of everything.

Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best.

Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of
the future.

Give everyone a smile.

Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to
criticize others.

Be too big for worry and too noble for anger.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 103:10-14 “He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us
according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so
great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from
the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us. Like as a
father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him. For He
knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.”

Mark 11:24-26 Jesus declares
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever
ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have
them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any:
that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven
forgive your trespasses.”

Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith
the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will
hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search
for Me with all your heart.”

Psalm 107:6-9 “Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He
delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right
way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Oh that men would praise
the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of
men! For He satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with
goodness.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
