I have been meditating on a verse of scripture for the past few weeks and
the Lord has really been speaking to my heart about it. The scripture is
in Galatians 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap." Many people think that they can go
through life and cheat, steal and lie and never have to pay a price for
their life of sin, but this scripture is a big warning to every person
that whatever you do, it will come back to you.
I think about sowing and reaping a lot because it is amazing to me how
true it is. Whatever you put into the ground whether it be physical or
spiritual will grow and come back to you one day. If we were to plant
tomato seeds into the ground, we cannot expect strawberries to grow and if
we were to plant an apple tree, we can't expect oranges to grow. It's the
same thing in life; if we sow hatred, bitterness, strife, and deceit, then
we shouldn't expect to reap; love, peace and joy. The laws of God work
the same both in the physical and spiritual realm. What ever we put into
the ground will mature and grow and hence come back to either bless or
curse us.
I encourage you to always remind yourself of this scripture and get it
deep in your spirit. Whatever you sow, that is what your going to reap.
Be quick to help someone in need and say good things about others even if
it takes you awhile to think of something nice to say. Give, help, and
bless others; not to look for a reward from those people but because God
almighty will bless and reward you in like manner. Always remember there
is a whole world that we cannot see and God's angels are writing down all
that we do; in secret and openness (Malachi 3:13-18).
If people do bad things to you, repay them with good. If people talk bad
about you; you in turn say something good about them. God is watching and
His judgment is just. God Himself said vengeance is mine (Deuteronomy
32:35) so let God be God and you do all you can in repaying good for evil
(Romans 12:19).
I hope you will take this message to heart and in turn allow the Lord to
work in your life in every area that you are lacking. I encourage you to
call upon the Lord and ask Him to help you to be more alert concerning
sowing and reaping. I thank the Lord for putting this scripture in my
heart and He will do the same for you if you ask Him, for God is no
respecter of persons (Acts 10:34).
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Galatians 6:7-8 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man
soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of
the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the
Spirit reap life everlasting."
Romans 12:19-21 "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give
place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay,
saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst,
give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."
Matthew 5:8-12 Jesus says "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall
see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the
children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness'
sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall
revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against
you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is
your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were
before you."
Romans 12:14-17 "Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the
same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men
of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man
evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men."
All scriptures can be found in the King James Version.
