762nd -- Message On God's Superiority

I hope you are doing well and are in the best of health. I am doing very
well and am blessed to be able to serve the Lord through this ministry.
The Lord has been faithful to anoint these messages that are being sent
around the world to minister to His people. We have seen many positive
results come from this work and I am encouraged to continue on as long as
God calls me. Even though I don't know our members personally, I hope that
you have benefited from this work and have been inspired to lead your life
in a manner that would be pleasing to God. I do give all the Glory, Honor
and Praise to the Lord for the wonderful things He has done and is still
doing around the world. (Jude 24-25)

While I was in prayer recently giving thanks and praise to the Lord for
His many blessings, I felt Him leading me to write a message on God's
superiority and magnificence. We should always remember that it is a
great privilege to be able to call the God of the universe our Heavenly
Father. We sometimes don't realize how vast the Lord really is. He has
seen all things in all places in all times. There is nothing that is
hidden from the Lord. He knows every problem and has every solution to
bring them all to naught. We must give praise to the Lord with all of our
hearts because He is deserving of the praises of His people. He is mighty
and majestic and holds all power in Heaven and on Earth. I hope this
message encourages your heart to be quick to give praise to the Lord.

When I think of the Lord, I don't think of Him simply as a problem solver
or as a being who waits for us to call on Him. When I think of God, I
remember all the Saints of the Bible who walked with God, depended on Him,
sought Him wholeheartedly, and knew that without God on their side,
destruction would surely be their end. We have the testimonies of
Abraham, Moses, Joseph, David, Elijah, Daniel, Paul and multitudes more.
To know that God hears and answers prayer, one simply needs to read the
testimony of any of these great men of God. (Psalm 28:6-8) (Hebrews 11:4-40)

We must remember and keep in mind that the same God who commanded Moses to
lead the children of Israel from the land of Egypt is the same God whom we
call upon today. The God who David prayed to and trusted in is the same
God that answers our prayers and comforts our hearts. The same God who led
the Apostles on their missions to preach the gospel leads us still today to
preach His Word. All of the Old Testament and New Testament saints are
gone, but the Lord remains and the same power that worked through them is
available today to work through us. He is the same. God has not changed.

The Lord is magnificent in all His ways and He alone is God. There is none
else. People who trust in idols, the Sun, the Earth or even in themselves
are surely mistaken. Man is not strong enough to stand against Almighty
God. We are made from the dust of the earth and all of us will one day
return to dust. We have no power or might. The Bible says we are as
withering grass that is here today and gone tomorrow. We must glory in the
Lord alone. He has made us and not we ourselves. The Lord is magnificent
and worthy of our praise. (Psalm 135:5-7) (Psalm 103:15-16) (Psalm 18:3-6)

A story I think of often is found in 1 Kings 18:21-40 where the Prophet
Elijah went to Samaria and challenged the worshipers of a god called baal
to see who the true God in Israel was. Elijah was the only prophet to
represent the Lord God Almighty, but the prophets of baal numbered 450 men.
Elijah's challenge was simple; each of them would call upon their God
offering a bull as a sacrifice and the one who answered would be the one
who would be worshiped in all of Israel. After going first and calling
upon baal from morning until noon, jumping and stomping on the altar and
even cutting themselves in hopes that their god would answer, baal’s
worshippers received no reply. Elijah took his turn to call upon the Lord.
The moment Elijah offered the sacrifice and asked God to answer his prayer,
fire came down from heaven and swallowed up the sacrifice that was offered
by Elijah. In that moment all of Israel knew that there was only one God
who could hear and answer prayer. The 450 prophets of baal were taken away
and killed because of their false beliefs and teachings and Elijah proved
before all Israel that only God is to be worshiped, praised and magnified.
(Deuteronomy 4:35-40) (Isaiah 45:17-23) (Psalm 115:3-16) (Psalm 118:8-9)

The point of this message is simple. There is no need for any of us to
trust in any idle or false god. The Lord is enough. He is powerful enough
to meet your needs and satisfy your hearts desires. The Lord promised to
comfort His people and lead their life towards victory. All we must do is
trust Him and believe that God has our best interest in mind at all times.
Just as He led the Prophets and Apostles of the Old and New Testaments, so
will He lead us in this day and use us for good just as the Lord used the
Saints of old. (Isaiah 59:1) (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) (Psalm 91:14-16)

Be encouraged to call upon the Lord to lead your life. The same God who
answered Elijah all those years ago is still alive today ready to hear and
answer our prayers. There is no need for us to go to a substitute. We
have the only and original Creator of heaven and earth ready to lead our
life and direct us onto the best path towards victory. Trust Him above
all others relying on God's everlasting wisdom to make your life one of
importance and relevance to your generation. Praise the Lord that He loves
us so much that He allows us to call Him our Heavenly Father. (Psalm 116:1-9)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Proverbs 8:17-21 “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early
shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and
righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my
revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the
midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to
inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.”

1 Chronicles 28:9-10 “And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy
father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the
LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the
thoughts: if thou seek Him, He will be found of thee; but if thou forsake
Him, He will cast thee off for ever. Take heed now; for the LORD hath
chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.”

2 Timothy 4:7-8 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I
have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that
day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
