799th -- Wealth Of Wisdom

We should always be quick to do our best to receive God's wisdom to better
our daily life. Whether we realize it or not, it is by the getting of
wisdom that we become healthier, wealthier, and more in tune with how God
wishes for us to lead our life. The Bible is very clear concerning the
importance of wisdom and getting understanding. We read in Proverbs 4:7-9
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy
getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she
shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to
thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to
thee.” Be encouraged to devote more time seeking the Lord and asking for
His wisdom to be imparted into your life. The Lord is able to do above
what we can ask or even think. Go to Him with expectant faith that He will
hear and answer your prayer. (Psalm 49:3) (Psalm 111:10) (Proverbs 1:5-8)

I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to see how beautiful
and practical it is to use wisdom and understanding in our daily dealings
in life.

WEALTH OF WISDOM

One man said, “I had a brain scan and was told not worry --there was
nothing there!” Which is all right because some of my best ideas over the
years have come from others, anyway. And I have discovered that wisdom can
be found in most any place and from most any person -- even the youngest
of us.

It was a child who passed on this morsel: “If your sister hits you, don't
hit her back. They always catch the second person.” It is wisdom borne of
hard experience.

Yet another child teaches us that “the best place to be when you are sad
is in Grandma's lap.”

Adults, too, have wisdom to share. One parent observed that “the best way
to keep kids at home is to make the home a pleasant place to be...and let
the air out of their car tires.”

Wisdom can also be found among the youngest of us. And the most elderly
will share it too, if we listen. I am related by marriage to a woman who
is 103 years old. During her 100th year, “Aunt Pearl” was asked to speak
to a group of high school students. She offered a century of wisdom in a
few short sentences: “Enrich your life by becoming a better person, a
better student and an individual worthy of trust and faithful in your
commitments. Aspire to help and not hinder in all your good and worthy
undertakings. Use these words often: 'thank you,' 'please,' 'I'm sorry.'
After living 100 years, I admonish you to think deeply, speak gently, work
hard, give freely, pay promptly, pray earnestly and be kind.”

Wisdom doesn't come much better than that.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Proverbs 8:1-7 “Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?
She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the
paths. She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in
at the doors. Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.
O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding
heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my
lips shall be right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness
is an abomination to my lips.”

Proverbs 13:18-20 “Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth
instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured. The desire
accomplished is sweet to the soul: but it is abomination to fools to depart
from evil. He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion
of fools shall be destroyed.”

Psalm 1:1-3 “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the
scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth
he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the
rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also
shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
