We should always have a positive attitude in life and face each trial that
comes our way with a quiet confidence that success is surely ahead of us.
We should never look at our problems and complain about how difficult they
are, but rather we should look at each trial as a steppingstone for our
betterment. If we get it in our minds that problems serve a purpose to
make us wiser, stronger emotionally and spiritually and ultimately better
equip us to handle whatever may come our way in the future, we will face
each trial not with fear or trepidation, but with eagerness knowing we will
triumph and become better than we were before. (Isaiah 42:16) (James 1:2-4)
The Bible declares in Romans 5:3-4 “We can rejoice, too, when we run into
problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And
endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our
confident hope of salvation.” Be encouraged to face every trial before
you with refreshed eyes and be diligent to see things in a positive light
knowing that God has promised the victory and all we must do is stand on
His promise never doubting or wavering because faithful is He who has promised.
I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to always see your
trials with a positive outcome in mind.
ATMOSPHERE AND ATTITUDE
I've lost count of how many times I've spoken at Amway meetings around
the world. But I never forget the positive charge of energy I get at these
gatherings. I just spoke to an arena full of independent business owners
for Quixtar, the Web-based business in North America that was formerly
Amway. Nothing has changed from the audiences of Amway distributors that I
started speaking to more than 40 years ago. They're excited about building
something of their own and positive about their future. It's impossible to
be negative in this crowd. A positive attitude is contagious.
One of the first motivational speeches I gave was called “White Heat.” I
used the example of the Apostle Paul as someone who had a white hot
conviction for his mission. Whether spreading the Gospel to cities
throughout the Mediterranean, promoting a new product, starting a
business, running for office, or winning a game, all achievements in life
begin with a positive attitude - the faith that we can do it.
I've never stopped encouraging people to discover the power of a positive
attitude. I spoke recently at a sixth-grade graduation ceremony and
delivered one of the talks I've been giving for decades called “The Three
A's: Atmosphere, Attitude and Action.” We can choose to put ourselves in a
positive atmosphere that encourages a positive attitude that leads to
positive action. I told them they can stay with friends who tell them they
can't or choose friends who tell them they can.
I was speaking to another class of sixth-graders about my heart transplant
and the topic led to a discussion about fears. One girl said she was afraid
of the dark. I told her I was afraid of the dark, too. We all have dark
areas in life that we fear - illness, job loss, financial worries, doubts
about our abilities, the state of our economy or the world's environment.
But if we keep a positive attitude, we discover the light that God has put
in our hearts to overcome the darkness. For most of my life I've been
telling people that they can do it and watching them succeed in ways as
positive as their attitudes.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you,
that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore
choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”
Psalm 3:4-8 “I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and He heard me out of
His holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD
sustained me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have
set themselves against me round about. Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God:
for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast
broken the teeth of the ungodly. Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: Thy
blessing is upon Thy people. Selah.”
Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed
on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for
in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”
Psalm 28:6-8 “Blessed be the LORD, because He hath heard the voice of my
supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in
Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my
song will I praise Him. The LORD is their strength, and He is the saving
strength of His anointed.”
