This poem was written for my friend.
I don't know why I am writing this
I don't even know if there is a reason
but I sit here typing away a message
to you, my friend, whom I love dearly
words I write hang across the screen
sentences which have no real meaning
I should just stop and do something else
yet, I continue to type this message for you
hoping to show that you are not alone
hoping to show that I am here for you
oh dear friend, I am praying for you
day and night, every moment
I will always think of you
I ask how your day was and I explain mine's
revealing all the good and bad times I've had
I sit here now trying to fill in the void
the missing parts, the lost thoughts in my mind
I wish i could be where you are
and comfort you when you are feeling sad
but the distance between us is so great
all I can do is write this message for you

hoping to show that I am here for you

if it would make you smile
for His joy is flowing out of me
