1300th -- Message On Faith And Expectancy

Every person that is alive on this earth wishes to have their needs met. They wish to be healthy, happy and whole. They wish that their joy remains full and that their peace never leaves them. Sadly, that is not the case for the majority of people. If we listen to people's problems, we will hear of their health issues, financial constraints and other problems that would make anyone sympathetic to their situation. While it is not within our control to the problems that we face, it is within our control how we react to the problem. We can murmur and complain, we can worry and fear or we can do what I have learned is most effective and simply rest. When we have such strong and unwavering confidence in the Lord, then nothing will be able to take us out of our state of rest. We rest not because we don't have the answer to our problem, but rather we rest because the Lord has every answer to our every problem. (2 Corinthians 4:8-12) (Psalm 34:1-10)

Another important part of believing for a better tomorrow concerns our faith. We have to be confident in what we can't presently see and know that in our future to come our faith will be manifested into a reality. I greatly believe that Faith meets us at our expectancy. If we are not believing for bigger and better, we will not have bigger and better waiting for us down the road of our life. We have to believe for, pray for and expect for a better future while we are still in the present. Faith and expectancy both go hand-in-hand because both of them require confidence in God who says all things are possible to those who believe. Believing takes faith and faith requires confidence so when we agree with the Word of God and proclaim His promises over our life, we are blessing our future by the authoritative words that we speak over our life. (Mark 9:23) (Hebrews 11:6)

In my walk with the Lord, I have seen His faithfulness too many times to count so my confidence in the Lord is safe and secure. When we wholeheartedly depend on the Lord, He will be faithful to answer our call. The answer may not come as we expect, it may not come when we expect, but I have found Him to never once be late and my needs met in ways that I had not thought of or imagined before. I encourage you to have that same assuredness that God is faithful to those who trust Him. When we simply let go of our will and allow His will to be done, our life will change in extraordinary ways and we will wonder why we waited so long to let God lead our life. (Psalm 41:10-13) (Matthew 26:39)

The Bible says every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord so let us put away all worry, all uncertainty, all fear and let us call upon the Lord who has promised to keep us in perfect peace because we trust in Him. The Lord is all knowing. He has the solution before the problem arrives. That is why we can be confident in His ability to strengthen us, encourage us and equip us to face every challenge. Let your confession be faith filled, let your faith be unwavering and let the Lord hear your praises for being with you, for meeting your needs and for promising that your latter end will be much greater and glorious than your former beginnings. A prayer and praise of that kind is sure to move heaven on your behalf. (James 1:17) (Isaiah 26:3-4)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Psalm 138:7-8 “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou wilt revive me: Thou shalt stretch forth Thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and Thy right hand shall save me. The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of Thine own hands.”

Deuteronomy 4:30-31 “When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto His voice; (For the LORD Thy God is a merciful God;) He will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which He sware unto them.”

James 1:2-5 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

2 Corinthians 4:15-17 “For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.”

Jeremiah 29:11-14 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon Me, and ye shall go and pray unto Me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek Me, and find Me, when ye shall search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD...”

1 Peter 5:6-7 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
