1477th -- Meanings

We should always carry ourselves with a quiet confidence knowing that God will be faithful to meet our every need because of our steadfast trust in Him. We are promised trials, troubles and heartache, but we must remember the words of Jesus when He said in John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” When we bring into remembrance the promises of the Lord our hearts will become encouraged and our resolve to continue on will become strengthened. We just have to have the foreknowledge that all things will work together for our good in the end. Job said in Job 14:1 “Man that is born of a woman is of a few days, and full of trouble” Trials, challenges and troubles will always be a part of our life, but when we have the right attitude we can use those negative situations for our benefit and in doing so we will become better, wiser and stronger than we were before the troubles. Job having stayed in faith and trust in the Lord also said in Job 23:10 “But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” (Isaiah 26:3-4) (Isaiah 43:25-26)

Let us always face our troubles with confidence, let us carry ourselves with integrity and character knowing that our testimony of faithfulness is looked upon by many more people than we often realize. May we be living witnesses of God’s love, mercy and grace that is offered to all mankind who simply humble themselves before the Lord asking to be led and guided onto the best path as God sees fit. If we stay humble and true there is no telling where God can take our life. The Bible says 1 Corinthians 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” May we always do our best to be pleasing to God so that our simple vessel will bring glory and honor to the God who created us, loved us and called us to be His own. (Psalm 84:8-12) (1 Peter 5:5-7)

I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to look at the trials in your path as steppingstones to greener pastures. Learn from the trials, grow because of them and then use what you have learned to better your life and the lives around you.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Job 23:11-12 “My foot hath held his steps, His way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; I have esteemed the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.”

Ezekiel 36:26-27 “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them.”

Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Psalm 8:3-6 “When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained; What is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that Thou visitest him? For Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of Thy hands; Thou hast put all things under his feet.”

Psalm 46:1-3 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
