299th -- Wedding Prayer

It's never as bad as it seems. There are moments in life when troubles
seem to mount up to no end and we feel like nothing good can ever come
after this. We must remember that in life, it is normal for every human
being to have ups and downs, good days and bad days, but we must remember
that ultimately the good times will outlast the bad by an Eternity for
those who have put their trust in Christ. If tough times are coming your
way, I encourage you to be still and know that it's not the end of the
world or the end of your life. You are promised to see good days again
that will greatly overshadow and even help you forget the pain and sorrow
that you went through. Be encouraged and know that God loves you greatly.

I hope this simple story encourages your heart to continue on no matter
what because good days are promised to be ahead of you.

WEDDING PRAYER

At a wedding shower tea I attended, the last gift to be opened was
accompanied by a card reading: "May this always be so," and signed, "Much
love, Mother and Dad."

Inside was a beautifully framed, yellowed piece of paper with childish
handwriting on it, which had once graced the bulletin board in the bedroom
of the young bride-to-be.

There were tears in her eyes as she read us the message from her childhood:
"Today we had a test in history and I think I failed. I had to go to the
dentist too. We did not win the paper drive. This is the worst day I have
ever had in my life."

It's never as bad as it seems in that moment. Remember to have a good
perspective and know that good days are still ahead of you no matter what
you may be feeling right now. The Lord Jesus reminds us to have a proper
perspective and know that the latter Joys will greatly overshadow the
former miseries that came our way as read in John 16:21-22, "A woman, when
she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she
has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy
that a human being has been born into the world. Therefore you now have
sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your Joy
no one will take from you."

The Lord promises to replace every trial and tribulation that we go through
with Joy unspeakable so be encouraged and know that weeping may endure for
a night, but joy cometh in the morning. (1 Peter 1:6-9) (Psalm 30:5)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Romans 8:16-18 "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we
are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and
joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be
also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present
time are not worthy to be compared with the Glory which shall be revealed
in us."

1 Peter 1:6-9 "Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if
need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial
of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though
it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at
the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom,
though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with Joy unspeakable
and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of
your souls."

Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose."

1 Peter 1:3-5 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively
hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance
incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven
for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation
ready to be revealed in the last time."

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
