324th -- "There Is No God?"

There are many people in this world that doubt and even deny the existence
of Almighty God. They put their trust and confidence in theories that are
not proven and highly questionable. We must understand that for there to
be a plan, there must be a planner and for there to be such perfect design,
there must be a designer. The simple truth is that God in His infinite
wisdom created the heavens, the universe and all that is within them.
(Proverbs 14:8-12) (Isaiah 42:5-8) (Isaiah 45:18) (John 1:1-3)

It was the Lord's good pleasure to create this earth, establish it with
beauties all around and top off His mighty work by creating mankind in His
image. The Lord deserves our praise and magnification for completing His
creation and giving mankind dominion over the work of His hands. The Lord
is not moved or worried over those who don't believe in His creation, but
waits patiently as a loving Father for them to come to their senses and
realize from where they truly came. (Genesis 1:26) (Psalm 139:17-18)

I hope today's message ministers to your heart to continually trust in the
wisdom of the Lord and know that He is still in control of all things no
matter what people choose to think or believe.

"THERE IS NO GOD?"

Several years ago Jim Bishop wrote in the Miami Herald an article entitled,
"There Is No God?"

There is no God. All of the wonders around us are accidental. No almighty
hand made a thousand-billion stars. They made themselves. No power keeps
them on their steady course. The earth spins itself to keep the oceans
from falling off toward the sun. Infants teach themselves to cry when they
are hungry or hurt. A small flower invented itself so that we could
extract digitalis for sick hearts.

The earth gave itself day and night, tilted itself so that we get seasons.
Without the magnetic poles, man would be unable to navigate the trackless
oceans of water and air, but they just grew there.

How about the sugar thermostat in the pancreas? It maintains a level of
sugar in the blood sufficient for energy. Without it, all of us would fall
into a coma and die.

Why does snow sit on mountain tops waiting for the warm spring sun to melt
it at just the right time for the young crops in farms below to drink? A
very lovely accident?

The human heart will beat for 70 or 80 years without faltering. How does
it get sufficient rest between beats? A kidney will filter poison from the
blood, and leave good things alone. How does it know one from another?

Who gave the human tongue flexibility to form words and a brain to
understand them, but denied it to all other animals?

Who showed a womb how to take the love of two persons and keep splitting a
tiny ovum until, in time, a baby would have the proper number of fingers,
eyes, ears and hair in the right places, and come into the world when it
is strong enough to sustain life?

There is no God -- or is there?

By Jim Bishop

The Bible declares in John 1:1-3 "In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning
with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing
made that was made." Be encouraged to trust in the Lord with all your
heart, mind and soul. He took special care in creating all that we see and
I believe the Lord did that so we could never deny His existence.

Trust in the Lord and know that God's word is true. Don't allow the
negative influence of others to impact how you feel about the Lord. The
Bible declares in Psalm 14:1, "The fool hath said in his heart, there is
no God…" Don't allow yourself to be associated with fools, but rather
seek those who are wise and know who they are in Christ Jesus. He is the
Sustainer and Creator of our lives and deserves to be credited with the
great work that He has accomplished. (Romans 3:3-4) (Psalm 31:1-8)

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Hebrews 11:1-3 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the
evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God,
so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

John 1:10-12 "He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the
world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe on His Name"

Psalm 139:14-16 "I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully
made: marvellous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My
substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously
wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance,
yet being unperfect; and in Thy book all my members were written, which in
continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
