We should always remember and keep in mind that our life has a great
impact upon others whether we realize it or not. What we say and do to
others has an affect on them and by knowing this truth we should always be
conscious of how we are impacting their life. As ambassadors of Christ on
this Earth we are in essence His hands and feet and as such we must lead
others to Him by being an example of His love whenever we have the
opportunity. By allowing our light to shine in the midst of a down and
discouraged world we are letting others see the love of Christ manifested
through our life. When we share an encouraging word, complement someone
on a job well done, or simply pay attention to that one in need, we are
making an impact on their life that will never be forgotten.
(2 Corinthians 5:19) (James 1:27) (Hebrews 13:1-3)
We may think that our life is insignificant and unable to bring about a
lasting change in others, but I can assure you that what you say whether
positive or negative will leave a lasting mark upon those whom you
encounter. And that is why it is all the more important to always leave a
situation better than it was before. Be encouraged to take the initiative
to be a blessing at every opportunity. Do not let your chance of being a
blessing to pass you by. Think on your legacy and see what you would like
to be remembered for long after you are gone. See that your positive,
reinforcing and encouraging words and actions can make a difference to
many souls throughout your life and the ripple effect that can come from
it will be impossible to slow down or ever be stopped. Think on how you
might be a blessing to someone else and with your whole heart pursue every
chance you get to bring about a positive change. You will be so proud
when you do. (Galatians 6:9-10) (Matthew 10:8) (Hebrews 12:1-3)
I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to see how easy it
is to impact someone else in a positive way. Let us have this same
conviction to be a blessing, to be an encourager and to be uplifting
towards those who are feeling down or discouraged.
HEAVEN'S FIRE
When I was a little boy our church was always full of music. We didn’t
have an organ, a band, or even a stereo. All that we had was one lady with
a guitar, but when she sang I am sure that all of Heaven’s angels must
have joined in. During the week she was the music teacher at our local
grade school. Many of the children’s songs that still live on in my mind
today where learned in her class. It was the songs that she sang during
those Sunday services, however, that live on in my heart. I can still hear
her sweet guitar and joyful voice leading us in the hymns we sang. Her
music and her spirit were full of Heaven’s fire. They brightened you up,
warmed you up, and lighted a fire in your own soul as well.
My hymn leader, music teacher, and friend moved away before I was old
enough to truly appreciate all that she meant to me. I never got to really
thank her for lighting a candle inside of me with her generous fire. I
never got to let her know that she started a song in my heart that still
goes on today. I just pray that where ever she is that she gets to read
this and knows how grateful we all are to her for burning so bright.
The most important thing that my friend taught me was that Heaven’s fire
doesn’t just burn in the hearts of certain people. It is available to us
all when we choose it. You can be full of Heaven’s fire too. You can light
yourself up with love, joy, optimism, enthusiasm, energy, vitality, and
oneness with God. You can brighten up the souls, warm up the hearts, and
light up the lives of those around you. You can be a flame of goodness in
an often dark and cold world. You can take your flickering candle and turn
it into a blazing torch for everyone to see. You can share your generous
fire and light a candle inside of each person you meet as well. Don’t let
yourself be a smoldering ember in this life. Live well, burn bright, and
let Heaven see your fire.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
1 John 3:16-19 “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down
His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But
whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and
shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of
God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in
tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the
truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.”
Matthew 5:14-16 Jesus declares “Ye are the light of the world. A city that
is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it
under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that
are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see
your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
1 Peter 3:8-11 “Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of
another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil
for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that
ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that
will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil,
and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good;
let him seek peace, and ensue it.”
Revelation 22:12-14 Jesus declares “And, behold, I come quickly; and my
reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am
Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the
tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
