It is important in life that we not allow what is going on all around us
to enter into us. We may face negative challenges that try to discourage
our hearts or we may encounter negative people who have nothing good or
positive to say about anything and we sometimes allow those situations to
impact how we feel towards our life. We should remember that it is within
our control what we allow to infiltrate our being. We have the ability to
guard our hearts and only allow good, positive, uplifting, overcoming and
encouraging thoughts and feelings to enter into our hearts and minds. We
don't have to attend to the negativity that is around us. We can choose
to be at peace despite the storms that seem to be raging all around us.
We can trust that God is in control of our life and have faith that all
things will work together for our good.
(Proverbs 4:23) (Proverbs 17:22) (Romans 8:28)
Guarding our hearts and minds is necessary for us to be at peace in life.
If we choose to think on every negative thought that comes our way, we
will soon worry ourselves into sickness. We will inevitably manifest
those negative thoughts into our reality. The things that we feared will
become a reality in our lives because we allowed those negative thoughts
to become worries which will take root in our hearts and become a reality
in our future. Our thoughts are so important. When we choose to agree
with God and see ourselves as victors and not victims, we are in essence
binding every negative thought and bringing them under our control and
seeing ourselves triumphant just as God sees us. We have to believe that
God's Word is true for ourselves if we expect to overcome the negativity
that surrounds us. We have to believe that we can bind the bad and loose
the good. We have to believe that our destiny isn't meant to be bogged
down, but rather it is meant to soar, to succeed, to triumph and reach
every victory that God has instilled within each of us.
(Matthew 6:27-30) (Romans 3:4) (Matthew 16:19)
Be encouraged to not give in to the negativity that surrounds you. Don't
listen to the naysayers, don't pay attention to the haters, don't allow
the pessimism of others to impact how you see and act towards your own
life. See yourself as victorious, as lifted up, as blessed, as above only
and not beneath, as the head and not the tail and most importantly see
yourself as a loved child of God who is forgiven, redeemed and set free
from every bondage. Believe for good things, confess your blessings and
Praise the Lord for the many times that He has delivered you in times
past. Remember that you are not your past and know that your future has
unlimited potential. Believe this truth and receive it for yourself.
(Ephesians 6:10-14) (Isaiah 61:3) (Romans 8:32-39)
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Psalm 37:3-6 “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the
land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and
He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the
LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring
forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”
Philippians 3:13-14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but
this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching
forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the
prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Psalm 118:24 “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice
and be glad in it.”
Psalm 23:1-4 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to
lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He
restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His
name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they
comfort me.”
Deuteronomy 30:19-20 “I call heaven and earth to record this day against
you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou
mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and
that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of
thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy
fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.”
