The greatest thing that we can do with our life is to make it useful.
Many times we believe the lie that we can't make a difference in our life
and in the lives of others because of our past mistakes, failures and
shortfalls. Instead of trusting in God's forgiveness and renewal, we
wallow in self-pity and self-doubt. What we must quickly realize is that
our life has unlimited potential when we quit focusing on our past and
focus more on the beautiful, bright and limitless future that is before
us. We can do so much good where so many are impacted for the better and
by our simple actions those we've helped will also become inspired to
carry the baton of being world changers themselves.
How can you and I make a difference? We do so by our actions. We see a
problem and we do something to relieve it. We become proactive instead of
being inactive. We use the gifts, talents and abilities that God has
given us and we impart them into bringing relief where others are
struggling. We use our life as a manner of service for the sole purpose
of seeing others become better, wiser and stronger than they ever thought
they could be. We can use our hurts, our setbacks, our shortfalls and the
lessons that we learned during those difficult times for our betterment
and for the betterment of others when we take the initiative to be helpful
in elevating them higher than they are right now.
See your life as significant and know that you have the ability to be a
world changer. Never believe the lie that you are used up and done with.
As long as you have breath within your being you are a long way from being
finished from being a blessing to others. When you believe in yourself as
God believes in you miracles can happen. Your life can start a ripple
effect in the lives of others where multitudes will be impacted and changed
for the better. See your gifts, your talents and your abilities as assets
that you possess that can be used in helping others to stand up higher
than they stand right now. Volunteer your time, teach in an area that you
excel in, encourage someone to try again, elevate others, inspire them and
show them that they do have potential no matter their past shortcomings.
Let us use our life for good so that multitudes can be impacted, changed
and inspired to do the same for their fellow man. Let us leave a legacy
that will live on long after we are gone and with our words, actions and
deeds let us follow the most important commandment of the Lord Jesus
Christ who tells us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. A life
well lived is a life lived in service to others. Let us remember this
simple truth and let our life be useful to others this day and every day
that we are lucky enough to be alive.
(Romans 12:3) (Galatians 6:2-4) (1 John 4:20-21)
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Philippians 2:3-7 “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in
lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not
every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the
form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself
of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in
the likeness of men.”
1 John 3:17-18 “But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother
have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth
the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word,
neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.”
Colossians 3:23-25 “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord,
and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of
the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong
shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of
persons.”
John 13:12-15 “So after He had washed their feet, and had taken His
garments, and was set down again, He said unto them, Know ye what I have
done to you? Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If
I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash
one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as
I have done to you.”
Romans 13:10-14 “Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is
the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high
time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we
believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore
cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let
us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in
chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the
lusts thereof.”
