1132nd -- What You Can Give To Life

There are many moments in life when we wish things would go the way that
we want. We pray, we seek, we ask and we knock, but for some reason we
don't get what we really wanted. In these moments that seem disappointing,
we should give ourselves a different perspective and have the realization
that maybe an unanswered prayer really is the answer that we needed. What
we don't always recognize is that God sees the end of the road that we are
still traveling on. He sees the dangers, the stumbling blocks, the detours
and the setbacks that are ahead of each of us and instead of giving us what
He knows we don't need, He graciously gives us what we do need. Our job
is to stay faithful to the Lord at all times knowing that God has our best
interest in mind. The Lord will never give us more than we can handle and
He will never answer a prayer that won't be to our best benefit.
(Psalm 106:8-12) (Psalm 23:1-4)

Be encouraged to have a trusting attitude towards the Lord. Let your
confidence be at an all time high knowing that every unanswered prayer
serves a greater purpose for us. We may not understand why right now, but
in due time we will understand. We may cry, we may get frustrated, we may
feel like getting up, but we should stand strong, dig our heels in and be
determined to finish our race strongly without wavering. The Lord is our
faithful provider. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Our God never
stumbles nor sleeps and He is ever vigilant to protect and keep safe His
precious child. We must remember that we are precious to the Lord. The
Bible says that He holds us at the apple of the eye and that He has carved
our image in the palms of His Hands. (Zechariah 2:8) (Isaiah 49:16)

Always remember that He loves you and wishes for you to succeed and triumph
in every area of life. Stand on His promises, trust in His wisdom and in
prayer dedicate your life and your will to Him and let God know that you
trust His will for your life above all other people. Let us dedicate our
life to the Lord anew and trust that He has great things ahead for each of
us. We simply must trust the Lord all the way through and He will be
faithful to give us exactly what we need when we need it.

I hope this message inspires and encourages your heart to know that God
knows exactly what you need and He knows exactly how to get it to you.

WHAT YOU CAN GIVE TO LIFE

“I’m not sure what I want out of life.” Those were the words I spoke to my
high school guidance counselor some 27 years ago. At that point life seemed
to be a mysterious adventure that lay far beyond the security of high
school. Little did I know then just how much of an adventure that next
quarter of a century would be. It was full of ups and downs, joys and
tragedies, triumphs and mistakes, laughter and pain, love and heartbreak.
One thing is sure, though, I definitely didn’t get what I wanted. And for
that I am eternally grateful.

You see, God in His infinite wisdom always gave me what I needed and not
what I thought I wanted. If I had gotten what I had wished for I would be
a far more selfish and far less loving person today. Instead God kept me
growing, learning, and becoming the person I was meant to be. Life was my
school, troubles were my teachers, and the twists and turns of this world
were my courses. The classes continue on as well for me, you, and everyone here.

These days I try not to think of what I want out of life but think of what
I can give to life instead. I strive to be a loving father, a caring
friend, and a good neighbor. I seek to do what I can with what I have to
make Earth a little more like Heaven and to show others that they can do
the same. I try to share all the things I have learned these past 27 years:
that God loves us more than we could ever dream, that we can love each
other as well, and that when we do so we will have JOY no matter what
struggles we may face or losses we may endure.

Take some time today then to think about what you can give to life. You
are a beloved Child of God with unique talents, knowledge, and blessings.
You can give this world so much love and do so much to help others. You
can make this world and your soul a little better each day. And when you
do so you will get what we all truly want out of life: sweet happiness.

By Joseph J. Mazzella

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Romans 8:31-34 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us,
who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him
up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that
justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather,
that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh
intercession for us.”

Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect; peace, whose mind is stayed
on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for
in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”

Romans 8:16-18 “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we
are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and
joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be
also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present
time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed
in us.”

Romans 5:8-10 “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified
by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if, when we
were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more,
being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.”

1 Peter 2:9-10 “...ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy
nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the Praises of Him
who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light: Which in
time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not
obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
