It is easy to forget how blessed we really are in life when a difficult
situation comes our way that seems too overwhelming to overcome. What we
must realize about the trials and tribulations that we go through in life
is that everything is temporary. Every challenge is temporary and every
moment of perfect peace is also temporary. We will not always be above in
life and when we believe the falsity that life should be trouble-free, we
are setting ourselves up for disappointment. Remember, The Lord Jesus
declares in John 16:33 “...In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be
of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” It is normal to go through
difficulty, but we must have the forethought to know that we will soon
come out of it better than we were before.
(Romans 8:28) (Proverbs 10:3) (Job 23:10)
Many people who know me can testify that I am an eternal optimist. I
rarely ever focus on the bad that is before me, but rather I choose to see
the good that is soon coming. I look past the storms that are raging and
I look forward to the sunshine that is promised to come soon after. I
don't look at the darkest of nights and worry about it, but rather I choose
to focus on the soon coming dawn that will wipe the darkness all away. I
know in Whom I have believed and since the Lord has never failed me in
times past, I know that He will not fail me in this present time and in my
future to come. The Lord is faithful, He is trust worthy and our
confidence can rest that with God by our side, All Will Be Well.
(Philippians 3:13-14) (Acts 14:23)
My best encouragement to you is to look past your present circumstances
and look forward to your overcoming of them. Don't focus on the darkness,
don't get discouraged when the storms are raging, but look ahead with your
eyes of faith and see deliverance, restoration and wholeness returned back
to you again. You must first believe it by faith before it can ever be
manifested for real. Hebrews 11:1 declares “Now faith is the substance of
things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” We must believe this
truth and know that God is faithful to meet us at our point of expectancy
in faith believing. I encourage you again to wholeheartedly believe and
expect that brighter days are surely coming your way. When we have faith
that is that strong, nothing shall be impossible to us. Praise God!
(Psalm 139:17-18)
I hope this message encourages and inspires your heart to have the deep
and assured knowing that your trials will not last forever, but you will
be made better because of them in the end.
SOUL SHINE
If you have ever driven in the mountains on a cool, Autumn morning then you
know what FOG is. I was rounding a curve today and drove right into a sea
of this fog. I quickly slowed down and turned on my low beam headlights.
Seeing the road ahead was now a struggle. The heavens above were gone and
I felt like I had been transported into a shadow world. Everywhere I looked
there was only a dismal grayness. Even the trees lining the side of the
road had become frightening, ominous shapes out of some childhood ghost
story. I drove on and on through the waves of murk and wondered if it
would ever end.
After a while, though, the sun broke through the fog again and the world
was transformed. Heavenly beams of gold now bathed the landscape. The red
and yellow leaves glistened on the trees. The river alone side the road
sparkled in the sunshine. Everything seemed full of light and joy once
again. I smiled and drove on with a song in my heart. I thanked God too
for both the sunshine and the fog, because it had taken them both to remind
me again of just how beautiful this world can be.
In our lives the fog can roll in sometimes too. Things can go wrong.
Problems can appear. Difficulties can continue. Pains, troubles, and
trials can seem to surround us and block out all the light in this life.
When this happens and the world seems covered in gray we need to remember
that we too can break through the fog. We too can drive the shadows away
with our love. We too can transform the world with our joy. We too can
light a way through the murkiness for others to follow. God is ready and
willing to fill our souls with His love and light. All He asks is that we
share their shine. May all of your foggy days be brief then. May your soul
shine bright. And may you forever strive to live in God’s light.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Psalm 103:10-12 “He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us
according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so
great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As far as the east is from
the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.”
Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken
spirit drieth the bones.”
Hebrews 13:5-6 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be
content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave
thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper,
and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”
Psalm 37:3-6 “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the
land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and
He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the
LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring
forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”
Philippians 4:8-9 “Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever
things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure,
whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if
there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and
seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”
