These days that we are living in are both great and horrible at
the same
time. Never in history have we had such a great explosion of
wisdom and
understanding. On the other hand, never in history have we had the
enemy
of hell trying his hardest to persuade God's people with his
temptations
and diverse tricks to keep our eyes off the Lord. I hope this
message that
God led me to write concerning overcoming the enemy will equip you
to fight
the devil and encourage you to know that you will have the victory
through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
Recently while I was reading my Bible, a scripture got my
attention that I
have read many times before, but this time it really came alive in
my
spirit. Revelation 12:10-11 declares, "And I heard a loud voice
saying in
heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of
our God,
and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is
cast down,
which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame
him by
the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony..."
We know that the devil is always hard at work and constantly
trying to lure
us away from a closer and more intimate relationship with the
Lord. The
Bible says that satan is the accuser of the brethren. The word
accuser is
defined in the dictionary like this, "To make a charge of
wrongdoing
against another." The devil is constantly trying to put a wedge
between
us and God the Father, but verse 11 says, they overcame him (The
devil) by
the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. We have
power
because of the blood that Jesus shed on the cross, and the
testimony that
we have as believers is another strength against the enemy of what
God has
brought us through.
I want you to be ever mindful of the enemy's devices. He is only
out to
rob you of your Joy, to steal your health and make you to feel as
if nobody
cares about you. There is nothing good that can come from the
devil. All
that is evil, wicked, and deceitful only comes from that fallen
archangel
who was taken out of heaven because of his pride and arrogance
against the
Most High God. The enemy knows that his time is short and is
trying
everything he knows to make people miserable; just as he will be
for all
eternity. (John 10:10) (Isaiah 14:12-19)
The Bible declares in 1 Peter 5:8-9 "Be sober, be vigilant;
because your
adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom
he may
devour. Resist him, stay steadfast in the faith, knowing that the
same
sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world." We
need to
remember that the enemy cannot succeed when he attacks those who
are strong
in their faith, but he seeks those who are not knowledgeable with
the
power they possess through God's Holy Word. (Ephesians 6:13-18)
Even though the enemy may stand before God and accuse us of our
past sins;
we have an advocate with God the Father and our advocate is Jesus
Christ.
He bore our sins, sicknesses and infirmities and through His
death, burial
and resurrection, we have a hope that is everlasting and no devil
in hell
can ever steal that from those who have made Jesus the Lord of
their life.
(1 John 2:1) (1 Peter 1:3-4)
I encourage you to remember that there is power in the name of
Jesus and
the blood that He shed for All mankind. Just as the death spirit
skipped
over every house that was covered by the blood of a lamb in the
Old
Testament story of Moses, so it is with those who have been
cleansed and
redeemed by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The next time the
enemy
comes to you accusing you of your sins, you need to open your
mouth and
say "The blood of Jesus has cleansed me from all unrighteousness
and in
Jesus name I rebuke you satan and bind every evil influence that
you try
to bring into my life." (Exodus 12:22-25) (Matthew 16:19)
Encourage yourself in the Lord just as David did when problems
came his
way and know that through the name of Jesus Christ and the blood
that He
shed on the cross, you can break every bondage that you may be in
and God
will restore that burden with the peace and love that only comes
from Him.
(1 Samuel 30:6) (Jeremiah 30:17)
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
John 10:10-11 Jesus says,
"The thief
does not come except to steal, and to
kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and
that they
may have it more abundantly. "I am the good shepherd. The good
shepherd
gives His life for the sheep."
1 John 2:1-2 "My little children, these things I write to you, so
that you
may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the
Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for
our
sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world."
Matthew 16:19 Jesus says,
"And I will
give you the keys of the kingdom of
heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,
and
whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Ephesians 6:10-12 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and
in the
power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be
able to
stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle
against flesh
and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the
rulers
of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness
in the
heavenly places."

I do thank the Lord for His continued leading and blessings upon
this
Ministry. I give God all the glory, honor and praise for these
messages
because they are purely inspired by Him and without God's leading
I would
not know what to write. He deserves all the credit and I thank God
for the
privilege He has given me in serving Him through this Ministry. I
pray you
are being blessed by these messages just the same because they are
meant
to equip, challenge and encourage you.
