266th -- Message On Strength And Weakness

I hope you are doing well and in the best of health. The Lord has spoken
to my heart to write a message on His strength and our weakness and how we
can be used greatly by God when we acknowledge and recognize that when we
are at our weakest, it is then we are at our strongest in Him. If you are
feeling discouraged in your faith, I hope that you will be lifted up and
inspired through this message that will show you the power of God's
strength and ability when we are at our weakest in strength and spirit. To
God belongs all the Glory, Honor and Praise for His continued leading with
my life and this Ministry.

The Lord declares in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "…for My strength is made perfect
in weakness." There are many moments in life that we think we are unable
to do God's work because of some weakness or undeveloped ability. We need
to keep in mind and remember that God loves to work through those that are
humble in spirit and ready to obey His voice in any circumstance. God's
power cannot be manifested through our life when we are proud and arrogant,
but when we are humble before the Lord and acknowledge our weakness, it is
then that God's strength manifests itself through our life. (1 Peter 5:5-7)

Concerning God's strength when we are at our weakest, I think of the
Apostle Paul. There was a time when Paul was greatly bothered by a thorn
that the enemy placed on his side. Paul prayed three different times and
asked God to take this thorn from his side, but God replied and said to
him, "My grace is sufficient unto thee." The Apostle Paul was strengthened
by God's word and then went on to say that great verse of scripture that
gives me strength when I am weak. Paul says, "...for when I am weak, then
am I strong." Take encouragement in the Lord and know that your weakness
is not a negative in the eyes of the Lord, but an opportunity to show His
strength through your life. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10) (Philippians 4:13)

We need to remember that most of the people God used throughout the Bible
were people that were not qualified for their positions. Moses couldn't
speak well and yet through God's strength and direction, Moses led the
Children of Israel out of slavery in Egypt and directed them to their
promised land. David was a young shepherd boy and yet through God's power,
he killed the giant warrior Goliath with just one stone of his slingshot.
David went on to be a king and was greatly used by the Lord throughout his
life. The Apostle Paul before his conversion was the chief oppressor of
the Christians. God called him to serve, changed his name and used him to
preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of his obedience, Paul is
regarded as one of the greatest Apostle's and a man who changed the world
for Jesus Christ. (Exodus 4:10-12) (1 Samuel 17:14-54) (Acts 9:1-22)

God's ways are not our ways and so when God chooses His servants, He does
not always choose the able, but the unable because the able may be tempted
to accept the glory for their work, whereas the unable know that God did it
all and He alone deserves the Glory for His work. If God wanted strength,
He could command His angels to do what He asks. We need to remember that
in the Old Testament, one Angel killed 185,000 people that were planning
to attack the city of Jerusalem. God is not impressed by strength, but He
is impressed by weakness and humility and a heart that seeks after Him.
(Isaiah 55:8-9) (Isaiah 37:33-36) (2 Corinthians 12:6) (Isaiah 6:8)

And so I encourage you today if you are seeking God to be used of Him to
come to God with a humble heart and ask the Lord to use you for His glory.
Never allow pride or weakness to keep you from fulfilling God's plan for
your life. God will do great things with us when we simply acknowledge
that it is not in our strength that we are successful, but it is only in
the strength of the Lord. (Jeremiah 29:12) (Zechariah 4:6)

So, you say "You are weak in your abilities", that's great because in God's
eyes that is when you are the strongest.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 "For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it
might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:
for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I
rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in
persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am
I strong."

1 Peter 5:5-7 "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea,
all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for
God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves
therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you."

1 Samuel 16:7 "But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance,
or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD
seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the
LORD looketh on the heart."

Psalm 30:10-12 "Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my
helper. Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: Thou hast put off
my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may
sing praise to Thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks
unto Thee for ever."

All scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
