We are to always keep in mind that as believers in Jesus Christ we have a
responsibility in leading others to The Savior. We can not continue in our
Christian walk without paying special attention to the impact that our
testimony is having on the unbeliever who associates with us. The Lord
Jesus calls every believer the light of the world and so we are to keep in
mind that our light should shine brightly where others will be positively
affected and want to share in that light. The Bible declares in 1 John 1:7
“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one
with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
The Lord who saved us from our sins has commanded us to go forth and be an
example of His love, redemption and saving Grace. Be encouraged to do all
you can for the cause of the Lord Jesus and lead your life in a manner in
which many will be drawn to Him because of the life and example that you
have set. (2 Timothy 1:7-9) (Mark 16:15-20) (Acts 22:15-16) (Psalm 103:1-5)
I hope you are encouraged by today's message to let your light shine so
that others will be drawn to you and in turn changed from the inside out
to live their life for Christ and His eternal purposes.
A MOTHER’S FOOTSTEPS
It was a busy day in our Costa Mesa, California, home. But then, with 6
children and one on the way, every day was a bit hectic. On this particular
day, however, I was having trouble doing even routine chores -- all because
of one little boy.
Len, who was three at the time, was on my heels no matter where I went.
Whenever I stopped to do something and turned back around, I would trip
over him. Several times, I patiently suggested fun activities to keep him
occupied. “Wouldn't you like to play on the swing set?” I asked again.
But he simply smiled an innocent smile and said, “Oh, that's alright Mommy.
I'd rather be in here with you.” Then he continued to bounce happily along
behind me.
After stepping on his toes for the fifth time, I began to lose my patience
and insisted that he go outside and play with the other children. When I
asked him why he was acting this way, he looked up at me with sweet green
eyes and said, “Well, Mommy in Sunday class, my teacher told me to walk in
Jesus' footsteps. But I can't see Him, so I'm walking in yours.”
I gathered Len in my arms and held him close. Tears of love and humility
spilled over from the prayer that grew in my heart – a prayer of thanks
for the simple, yet beautiful perspective of a three-year-old boy.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Matthew 5:16 Jesus says “Let your light so shine before men, that they may
see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
2 Timothy 1:7-9 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of
power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Be not thou therefore ashamed of
the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of
the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; Who hath saved
us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but
according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus
before the world began.”
Galatians 6:1-4 “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are
spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering
thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so
fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when
he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work,
and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.”
Acts 22:15-16 “For thou shalt be His witness unto all men of what thou hast
seen and heard. And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and
wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”
