I hope you are doing well and are in the best of health. I am doing very
well and simply continuing on the path that God has set for my life. This
Ministry which was started from a single prayer asking for God's direction
has been a blessing to hundreds of thousands of souls since its inception
in 1999. The Lord has done more than what I could have ever believed for
as far as using my being as an instrument of His love, encouragement and
inspiration in leading others to their destined position in life. If you
have gained anything from God’s Work Ministry these past years, all the
Glory, Honor and Praise belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ because it is by
His Spirit that we are blessed.
It is important in life that we are appreciative and thankful for all that
we have been given. Many times we go through life using what we have been
given without really taking the time to see how much more difficult life
would be without these blessings. An incident that happened to me recently
reminded me to appreciate what I have and not take it for granted. I hope
this message speaks to your heart to appreciate every blessing that you
have and do not wait for it to be taken from you before you realize how
important it is.
To prepare my ministry messages, send e-mails and do research on certain
topics, I use my laptop computer that is equipped with broadband wireless
Internet. It is really convenient for me because I'm able to use it in any
room of the house without being tied down to wires and cables. Well not
too long ago, I was getting ready to research a couple of topics using the
Internet when I noticed my computer was not connecting. I am pretty good
with computers so after checking the cable modem, router and connections, I
knew the Internet was connected and active and yet my computer couldn't log on.
I checked my Internet Options, network connections, wireless card, IP
address, DHCP, MAC address and everything else I could think of and all
was working fine except I could not connect to the Internet. Frustration
tried to get the best of me, but I knew this simple setback would prove to
be a blessing in the end. To make a longer story short, I spent about 30
minutes going through my settings until I found the reason for not being
able to connect. A single box in my LAN settings was not checked and that
kept me from being able to log onto the Internet.
After I restarted my computer, the Internet was working and I was able to
continue what I wanted to do 30 minutes earlier. When I saw that the
Internet was working; I felt such joy that to me is unbelievable. I felt
like I won a prize, when in essence I didn't win anything. I simply
regained the use of something that is very valuable in getting my objective
completed. Everyday these past years, I have used the Internet without
even thinking of how difficult my job would be without it, but this little
setback reminded me to be thankful and not take anything for granted.
The point I want to make is that don't wait for something to be taken away
from you before you see its value, but rather appreciate and be thankful
for it today and realize how valuable it is to you now. Be thankful for
your children, your spouse, your home, your car, your health, your family’s
health, your friends, and anything else you can think of. And yes, be
thankful for your Internet connection. I know I am.
Read and meditate on these scriptures:
Hebrews 13:15-16 “By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to
God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.
But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God
is well pleased.”
James 1:2-5 “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers
temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire,
wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth
to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Psalm 37:23-26 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He
delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down:
for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. I have been young, and now am
old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging
bread. He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.”
Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun
a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
