1381st -- Living

So many people today live their life on the sidelines. They have allowed their trials and tribulations to beat them into submission and they have given up on believing for greater things. They don’t take the opportunities that come their way to enjoy life to its fullest. They have decided that this is their lot in life and that’s the best it’s going to get. I have to disagree with that sense of thinking. The God who created us has given us dreams and aspirations that are to be chased after until they have been fulfilled. We have to believe that greatness lies within our being. We have to know that God does not create anything without a purpose and plan behind it. We have to trust that every obstacle that is in our path is meant to make us better, wiser and stronger than we were before it. We shouldn’t look at our trials and feel overwhelmed by them, but with a quiet confidence we should face them head-on knowing that our promotion awaits their defeat. (Psalm 25:20) (Psalm 26:1-5)

Every time we solve a life problem we should feel proud. Every time we overcome a trial or challenge that was in our path we should feel strengthened and encouraged. It is the triumphing over life’s challenges that show us how strong we really are. It is in defeating the fear and anxiety that tries to infiltrate our being that we can stand atop that mountain and be proud that we overcame what was trying to hold our life stagnant. When we take God at His word and we believe what He says about us, I believe nothing will be able to discourage our hearts or persuade us that we aren’t special or meant for greatness. When we say yes to God and no to the enemy, we are proclaiming our faith in the Lord; we are confessing our belief in ourselves and we will be consciously deciding that no matter what comes our way we will handle it faith filled knowing that our latter end will be much greater than our former beginnings. (Romans 8:16-18) (Psalm 34:1-10)

I encourage you to believe in yourself as God believes in you. Don’t cut your life short. Don’t give up when times get hard, but rather dig your heels in and fight until victory is yours. Always remind yourself that you and God are a majority and as long as He is with you all will be well in the end. Believe that for yourself so that you may receive every blessing that God has prepared for you. (Revelation 15:1-4)

I hope this message inspires and challenges your heart to believe that your life is meant to be significant and that each new day that you are blessed enough to see should be used up for your benefit and your betterment.

LIVING

“I don’t really know what I want to do with my life yet.” I overhead this as I was walking by a group of teenagers the other day. I didn’t interrupt them, but deep inside me I heard my own soul saying, “I hope that you live it.”

So many people these days seem to think that their lives are only their careers and nothing else. Life is so much more. Our jobs are just a drop in the ocean of our true lives. Life is also catching snowflakes on your tongue, smelling the flowers in the Spring, and watching the sunset in the evening. Life is also riding a bike, swimming in the ocean, and walking in the woods. Life is also singing a joyous song, reading a good book, and enjoying a delicious meal. Life is also laughing through your pain, learning from your problems, and loving through all the difficulties you may face. Life is also giving your children a big hug, sharing a warm smile with a stranger, and saying a kind compliment to a friend.

Life is also helping a person in need, holding the hand of a scared and lonely soul, and giving your warmth and kindness to a hurting heart. Life is also caring for your family, serving your community, and making the world a better place. Life is also spreading your joy, shining your light, and sharing your love. Life is also learning what God wants you to learn, doing what God wants you to do, and becoming who God wants you to be. Life is all of these things and even more. Life is living every moment you have here on Earth and getting ready for the even greater life that awaits you beyond it.

If you want to do something truly great with your life then start living it now. It is never too late to love and it is never too late to live. Life might be the leading cause of death in this world, but if you are not living then you are already dead.

Before your own alarm sounds then make sure that you truly live every minute of your life. Before your own clock stops make sure that you choose and share love, joy, and oneness with God every second that you can. Your time is in your hands. Make the most of it.

Read and meditate on these scriptures:

Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect; peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.”

Psalm 37:7-9 “Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.”

Isaiah 55:6-7 “Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”

2 Corinthians 12:8-10 “For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”

Psalm 37:3-6 “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. And He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”

All of these scriptures can be found in the King James Version Bible.
